Here's the list, in case anyone else didn't feel like watching an 18-minute video :

Chiffon Cake
Jell-O Salad
Fondue (Chocolate and Cheese)
Viennetta
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
Ambrosia Salad
German Chocolate Cake
Grasshopper Pie
Tunnel of Fudge Cake
Bananas Foster
Black Forest Cake
Baked Alaska
Harvey Wallbanger Cake
Cherries Jubilee
Crepe Suzette
Rum Baba
Lady Baltimore Cake
Dacquoise
Charlotte Russe
Tom and Jerry

I had never heard of a "Tom and Jerry," but I've tried all of the other desserts on this list that I would try (some have ingredients I really dislike), and I've had many if not most of them within the past 10 years, so I wouldn't consider that too far "faded into history." Part of that could be attributed to watching a lot of baking shows and being inspired to test things out, but German chocolate cake and black forest cake are favorites in my extended family, so we have them somewhat often. And I actually just made a pineapple upside-down cake last month.

@okaywitheasypay As I remember it, "Tom and Jerry" is a drink served during the winter holidays. My mother's recipe for the batter used in the drink includes separated eggs, salt, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice.

She would beat the egg whites into stiff peaks with an electric mixer. Then she would beat the butter and sugar in another bowl, then stir in the egg yolks and vanilla. Finally, stir in the egg whites and spices.

She stored the batter in the refrigerator in a Tupperware bowl. We kids would have a scoop stirred into our hot cocoa. The adults would stir it into a cup of eggnog or a mug of brandy.
