Campbell’s Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup

Anyone else find this in their store? I was walking past the soup section and two cans of this soup were alone on the shelf. They caught my eye as the label is different from the standard red and white. I decided to put them in my cart and looked around the store to find a larger display of them. Seems these two were the only ones left.

I checked the Campbell's website and this flavor is a limited edition.

Mr4kitties loves his grilled cheese sandwiches with Campbell's tomato soup. I have not yet opened my two cans.

I have not seen it, but it has two things I LOVE❤; grilled cheese and tomatoes! I would definitely give it a try!😋 I'll bet adding some diced tomatoes, and cheese balls would really liven it up!🥰

I never saw that flavor before, but I don't buy canned soup often, so I could have missed it.

I wonder if it's any good. I don't like tomato soup. We used to have it occasionally when I was a kid...made with milk. I don't do milk, maybe that's why I don't like it.

I hope Mr4Kitties enjoys his soup; he probably will and won't be able to find that flavor again.

Amazon has it at the Campbell's store...only $12 a can.

We always have tomato soup with grilled cheese. And on occasion, I would rip up a slice of cheese and put the pieces in my tomato soup. I liked the soup to be very hot. That way the cheese melted.

I love a grilled cheese with or without soup, but I would prefer it separate from the soup and the flavors separate. Yes, I used to not want my foods to touch and I don't like meat and veggies cooked together since they take on the taste of the other and then they all kinda taste the same.

I believe it was just right before or right after Christmas my local faith based radio station I listen to said this was coming out. Never have cared for tomato soup but this I may have to try if I ever find it.

For years, my DH will add shredded Mexican blend cheese to his bowl of tomato soup. It's actually pretty good.

We had grilled cheese and tomato soup for a light supper last night as we had our main meal while out during errands at lunch time.

I like to dip my grilled cheese sandwich in the tomato soup but I don't really like tomato soup as a soup. It is not the soup I like, just a little of it to dip with the bread. I take a little of it for dipping and DH eats a bowl of the rest of the can.

Years ago I did like tomato soup with rice, but I haven't seen it anywhere lately.

This soup was discussed on one of our local news broadcasts several weeks ago. I've been scouring several grocery stores for it, to no avail. Tomato soup is my favorite; I'd like to give this a try.

I order my broth and cases of soup from Sams Club; chicken noodle, cream of chicken, and tomato. I never buy these products at IGA, so it could well be on the shelf locally and I would never know. I'm not a fan of a grilled cheese sandwich.

Back in the day, if there wasn't a grilled cheese sandwich along side the soup, I'd layer slices of American cheese and a bunch of crushed saltines in the bowl before pouring the hot soup over it all. It looked like slop, but it was good slop.

Even if I was still eating Campbells soup today, I don't think I'd like this.

Lol, I always dip my grilled cheese in the tomato soup too. Tomato soup has always been my favorite. I remember the tomato & rice soup too. It was delicious! I think they still sell it, but can be hard to find. My Kroger has it.😃

Glad some were able to find it. After I bought these two cans, I have looked for it in other stores, but no luck. In fact, I went to the Campbell's website to find out about it. Maybe they did not make much of it and stores only got what they ordered or a small amount.🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Thought I would ask and see if maybe other areas of the country, or other certain stores, got any.

I rarely eat Campbell's soup as I try to watch my sodium. I do have a couple of recipes I still use it in though. Mostly just the Cream of Mushroom, Cream of Celery and Tomato. It is going to cool off a bit here again, so I will see if Mr4kitties would like soup and sandwich. I plan to try it too and will report back when I finally open it!

Hope we do not love it because I doubt we will ever see it again.🤣🤣

Will give a review when we try it!

I didn't see it your kind at the store. However, this was something NEW I hadn't seen; Campbell's tomato soup in a microwave bowl. I love regular tomato soup, so I thought I'd give this a whirl.

My daughter bought these home from the grocery store yesterday. Since it was cool and windy today, I opened a can of it and we both shared it with a regular grilled cheese. It was pretty tasty. She bought it at Stop & Shop grocery store 4 cans for $5

Campbells tomato and tomato bisque were my absolute faves from when I was little until just recently-----not a huge fan of grilled cheese--I like tuna sammies with it--but now I can't taste it due to chemo -it kind of fried those taste buds I guess. I can taste Progressos brand tho---this combo is intriguing me -----I like a little parm cheese and a pat of butter in mine tho.
