Whats cooking this month of march?

Good evening everyone. Starting it early. I was starting to type may instead of march. I guess I'm wishing for may without knowing it. I was making pizza tonight but I have been cleaning all day and I got out of the shower and I'm thinking I'm not in the mood for pizza or for cooking so I texted ria do want to order Mexican food for dinner and she responded ahhhhh yes. So Mexican Mexican food sounds really appealing for dinner. Have a great beginning of march everyone.

I was in the mood for quick & easy and salmon was on sale.

So baked salmon, red rice and a green veggie for us.

Last week Kroger had frozen turkey breast $1.29 lb I cooked it yesterday, today I made dressing , mashed potatoes and reheated some of the turkey in gravy
I put two bags of leftover turkey in the freezer today I’ll do turkey pot pie , not sure what I’ll do with the other bag maybe make turkey noodle soup

DH and I have an outing this afternoon & evening. We've been looking forward to it for months. I wondered if I'd still be able to go but fortunately my recovery has gone so smoothly that life is pretty much back to normal except for the no lifting (just a couple more weeks for that). We'll leave around 2:00PM. It's a two hour drive to our destination plus we have to accommodate a time zone change. Anyway, it'll be good to get out and see a bunch of friends.

Lunch today -

Bacon Egg & Cheese Quesadillas (salsa & sour cream on the side)

Small Tossed Salad

Proper Good Tomato Basil Soup

Two of dh's brothers will be joining us for dinner. Making roasted chicken with herb rub, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and fresh baked rolls. Chocolate cake topped with chocolate & walnut fudge icing will be the dessert.

Penne pasta with Alfredo sauce, salad and garlic bread. DH is not a fan of Alfredo sauce so leftovers will go to whichever kid shows up first. Lol

I am finally off this weekend which is much needed as this has been a mentally and physically draining week.

Everyones meals are sounding quite good.

@RedTop I hope your family are feeling better.

@kate2357 great news your DH is home and his appetite has improved.

Cheese pizza for us tonight. Made a small mixed greens salad. Someone mentioned french dressing last week, and got a bottle of creamy french to try.

BFF's husband is throwing her a surprise birthday party at an Italian restaurant tonight. I have never been to this restaurant but I know I will proabably have a pasta dish b/c we had pizza last night.

The brothers have the smoker going with brisket. Oh my does it smell fabulous. My contribution is BBQ beans, coleslaw and another batch of fresh baked rolls. Still have chocolate cake left...but we may have additional family over. I made a just-in-case large batch of marionberry crisp.

Oh gosh! Such delicious menus here. I am starving just reading all of these posts.

Chinese takeout tonight. We could eat that once a week forever. Off to the grocery for some ingredients for recipes that have been posted I am going to try.

@Shihtzursqmom , I bought 2 of the Kroger frozen turkey breasts also. When DS can join us I will cook just about the same dinner you made. We love turkey here.

Hope to come up with a way to prepare the other one. But not to say a repeat of this meal wouldn't be welcomed here!

Hormel turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, peas and cranberry sauce for supper here.

We are now 3 days out from our night in the ER, and all is well. Yes, teacher daughter picked up a bug that made her violently ill, but I don't think it's norovirus, since she's had no other issues. The house has the faint smell of bleach from constant cleaning, but we seem to be fine. Trucker daughter will be here tomorrow.
