Thinking of trying one, just want a small one,looking on amazon,and hsn, any recommendations?

We have a small Cuisinart one and make frozen yogurt and fruit almost daily in the summer. We love it!

Ours is 2-quart ICE-70P1 on Amazon, and there is a cheaper Cuisinart one probably the same thing. Got ours on Williams-Sonoma with points I had.

We have had this one for around 10 years, and it is still going strong! So easy to use and does a wonderful job.

I bought the two pack of ice cream makers from HSN last night for around 35.00. Makes a pint each, plenty for us. Not a big financial risk, here's hoping they don't break down. Only takes 20 minutes of churning.

@goldensrbest - I have two recommendations: 1) If possible, wait for a month or so before purchasing; manufacturers and retailers will start launching sales as the summer season gets closer. 2) If you are willing to pay a bit extra, choose a thermoelectric ice cream maker instead of the bowl-in-the-freezer version—it is very nice to just plug in the unit, add cold ingredients, and let the machine make pint after pint of tasty treats without having to plan in advance to have a big frozen bowl ready to go.

I bought a Thermo Electric ice cream maker from QVC years ago. It has a compressor so you don't need to freeze the container before you use it. Mine is white. The lid on mine is a little different.

We use this or our old time ice cream maker.

@Nightowlz - That's the same unit I have, also in white. It's fantastic!
