Seasoned: The QVC Chefs

Just stumbled across Seasoned: The QVC Chefs on the QVC website. It features Chef Jason, Chef Kerry, and Chef Megan. What a treat to watch! It runs about 23 minutes and the chefs get a chance to talk about their job, career path, and a wee bit of personal information.

Enjoy these insight productions as a foodie and have marveled at the talented Q culinary staff. The food presentations are usually an eyeful and I've gleaned a tip or two watching myself. It is no doubt a well-oiled machine to keep things running smoothly. I'd love to spend the day shadowing them and picking their brains.

I knew it took some major preparation for the food shows. Foods are plated beautifully. Everything needed for the presentation is on set, ready for the host or vendor.

Do they say what happens to all the food they plate up during demonstrations? Just curious if all the staff eat it or what.

Last night on ITKWD he said after the presentation all the staff is welcomed to the food. I assume things that weren't propped or sitting there a long time.

In fact, he was offering them food all night.

@SaveTheTurtles I don't recall the question being asked or addressed in the Seasoned: The QVC Chefs production.

But, as another poster in the thread mentioned, it seems the staff are ready to descend on the food and allowed to do so. And, I've seen people line up with my own eyes to get a big plate of Corkys from various parts of the Q building. Also, when Tina Verrelli (Kitchen Aid) has some new concoction like the recent dirty martini dip, it seems word gets out at Q and the prepared dish becomes history quickly.
