How long did you have the VitaMix running. It has an automatic shut off if it gets too hot so the motor will not burn out. I have an older model, 12+ years. I run it for 6-7 minutes for soups.

I purchased the Vitamix that was a TSV back in the fall of 2023, I have never owned one before so it's all new to me.

Earlier today after watching Jam M, make a batch of tomatoe soup I decided I would do that, during running my Vitamix just stopped running on it's own, is that a normal thing they do. I was washing dishes at the time so it took me a minute to go check it, it was warm but not hot so I pressed the switch button and it started back up and after a couple more minutes it was good and hot and delicious too.

Thanks Rockycoast, that's probably what happened, I had it going a good time, between 5-10 minutes. Once I started doing dishes I got so involved I just kind of forgot it until it got quiet. It works okay again, thank you I just didn't know it would do that. I'm glad to know I didn't ruin it after only having it for a few months.
