$34 + tax for 18 biscuits. They are on the smaller size too. Anyone try these? Are they worth the price.

They might be good, but for me that would be a pass (on) the biscuits, please. I prefer to make them myself.

For me, NO biscuit is worth that price! Biscuits from Hardee's, Bojangles, and Biscuit World are good, and much cheaper!

I was watching her on Gourmet Holiday this AM w/ Jayne. Did u see the price of her sausage links? $94.98.
Why would sausage links be $95? Am I missing something?

There's a lot of buzz right now over ready to eat biscuits. One company is Callie's Hot Little Biscuit, which is apparently all the rage, even getting on the Today Show (and QVC).

So I see why Carla Hall has started her own.

By the way, Callie's is M93707 -- 24 biscuits for $40. Also at Williams-Sonoma, Goldbelly, and other places.

A 38 count bag of frozen Pillsbury Grands biscuits is under $8.00 at Sams Club.

Those and Callies biscuits or the like, id never buy. Just the price is not worth it. Even much cheaper and readily available frozen or tube biscuits can be pretty good if you cant mix your own.

A biscuit is not what I'd eat every morning, or even once a week. My taste buds lean towards an everything bagel or rye toast.

I'd definitely try either Carla's or Callie's biscuits. But I'm not having them take up space in my freezer for the next 12 months. Maybe this summer or next Thanksgiving when the family's all together.

i really like CARLA HALL and her cooking style.

i have been following her ever since TOP CHEF.

LOVE biscuits, but they are not really something that i make myself and i generally dont buy the canned versions. SCHWANS home delivery makes a decent frozen biscuit.

i hope someone actually answers your question regarding the quality because i would be interested to know how good they are also.

a good biscuit and irish butter......YUM!

@RedTop I saw your post and was bemoaning the fact we don't have a Hardee's near us. Then I found out there is a Bojangles about 20 minutes away from us! I'm definitely going to try their biscuits and gravy. I did read an article in Southern Living with a great review of the Hardee's biscuits.

@Still Raining Making some profit for sure, but before taking profit there's more than flour to pay for. Marketing and transportation plus whatever bakery hours and costs.

For the one or two I might want occasionally, I'll just pick that up at a local shop where I can buy as few as I want. I suspect the individual cost for me would be at least that 1.88, but it's the quantity, not the cost per unit that doesn't work for me. I'm paying for someone else to do the work involved and for made fresh the day I eat them!

I tried them and the best I can say is save your money,the're lousey. Biscuits should be light as a feather and these are as heavy as a rock. They also have a funny after taste which is a big no for me.

I cannot attest to Bojangles breakfast gravy as my husband prefers Biscuit World or Hardee's gravy. We do buy pork chop, sausage and bacon biscuits from Bojangles often, and really like their biscuits which always seem fresh. Breakfast biscuits are available at Bojangles all day, not just breakfast hours, which is another plus for us. Hope you like them!

I could never justify the price of the Carla Hall biscuits. I buy Pillsbury frozen biscuits at the grocery store and can bake however many I need. I've found that they don't last very long once made, so I only make a few at a time. They're great for biscuits/gravy, sausage/biscuits, or just biscuits with butter on them....and a lot less $$.

The price of the sausage she's hawking is beyond RICICULOUS - $95.00 for 24 2oz sausages = 3 lbs. The price is $30 a pound. The people who would buy these have more money than brains
