I can not watch him..He sounds like a "carnival barker"..When he is selling one thing he keeps saying you can also buy this or that to go with it..

Today between him doing that and Helen studdering and stammering..I could no longer watch.

I must disagree! I watched the entire 2 hour show and thoroughly enjoyed both Curtis and Helen.

He's a salesman.

But he's also an actual professional chef who has put his names to what I consider quality items at an affordable price.

I really prefer that he recommends other pieces while he demonstrates because then I can understand what that item does in my cooking. I have a complete set of his cookware and some accessories and I love them. I really believe it is the best you can buy.

Love Curtis and his cookware. Have many of his pans and accessories. They preform just as stated in his segments.

ALL of the items he sells - food, cookware, etc. is WAY OVERPRICED. I agree with you about Helen.

I enjoy Curtis Stone's presentations very much. He actually cooks and demonstrates all his pieces and how they work together. I like his cookware, quality for a fair price.

@TheMemphisVette - I agree, I actually sat and watched his 2 hr TSV presentation yesterday on HSN with host Callie Northagen, she kept touching his arm maybe she thinks so too, lol

I agree--and not a fan of Helen at all but I just mute him---I have his cookware which is great and always check when he has the TSV, but can't watch for long.

I LOVE that cookware! i ordered the ts and can't wait for it to get here. I wish the outside was as easy to clean as the inside. That is my problem area.

Helen is a choppy talker and i have a hard time with her presentations.

I wish they'd have a Curtis Stone/David Venable show down on the SAME SHOW!!!

Battle of the giant ego cookware salesmen!!! Colors!!! Number left!!! Threats of selling out!!! Burning various cuts of magical meats in a demonstration!!!!

Add the Rastelli guy as a guest to demo burning 100 dollar a dozen hot dogs, burgers made from "special cows" and searing chemical injected "pork tendeloins"....a culinary Hole in One!!!!

End it all with the daring swipe of a towel to show how a new non-stick pan cleans out!!!

It'd be.....extraordinary!!!!!!

I have a set of his fry pans...and they DO seem to last longer than the usual non-stick stuff and to date NOTHING has flaked off in use. But I'm careful...

I told this once....I wanted to cook a steak over my burned down stick fire in summer, after it burned down and left the coals for heat...

.I grabbed my 10" CS durapan fry pan and used it directly on the fire to sear/cook that steak, butter and onions for lunch. ...which of course was Extraordinarily delicios!!!

Ah the primitive smell of roasting meat after a day of toil out of doors.....what's not to like???

The pan got stupid hot in the process, and burned the pan bottom black ( I didn't care if I "ruined" the pan, cause the handle was already a tiny bit jiggly, and the outside already had un-removeable staining on it...I figured I'd use it in the fire and toss the pan ...)

It actually cleaned up well ( the INSIDE.. which is where you cook the food!!!) and it remained mostly non stick!! I was impressed!!

I still use the pan to this day. It LOOKS beat up, but for outdoor cooking it's fine.

Cast Aluminum is good to about 1190 degrees F so the wood fire ashes didn't necessarily damage it ( no deformites or warping I could detect)....but I DID wonder if that nonstick is changed in any way in extremely high temperatures, that might make it questionable to use as a cooking surface for consumeable food....)

ANyway. That it my Curtis Stone dream and story.

CS v DV.....they could sell it on PayPerView!!!!....Call Peacock Plus...they might be interested!!!!

If you don't care to watch...don't. No one is forcing you to.

There is no reason to post your intentions on the forums. Who would care if you watch or not?

There are a lot of presentations I don't watch and I am sure others don't either. Big deal....not!
