Could someone let me know if there's a "rule of thumb" on the difference in cooking time on a traditional oven vs. a convection oven?

I want to bake a pumpkin pie in my new oven and don't know what the time difference should be.

I just bought the Breville Smart Oven K374805 (from a different retailer).

I don't bake anything like that using my convection mostly because I'm afraid I'll burn it. I agree with the other comment that the temp is adjusted down 25 degrees automatically but I swear when I do toasted cheese sandwiches they are done even before the temp I set the oven at is ready. So, I continue to use reg bake for cakes, cookies and pies.

@timeless , I looked up your oven. I thought you were talking about a conventional range.

I just bought a Ninja Foodi air fryer/roaster. When I started using recipies I found online, I found the cooking times way off...way too much time. I have started a cooking time chart which lists type of cooking, temp, length of cooking time and comments. In the beginning, it was trial and error. It is a learning curve. I can now simply refer to the chart and off I go.

Good luck. Come back and review your smart oven after a bit of use.
