My grandmother that baked delicious cakes!

She would get a fresh coconut and make Coconut Cake with 7 Minute Icing, homemade Caramel Cake, and I love Chocolate Cake.

Cheesecake Factory Carrot Cake

Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting

I don't indulge often (cause I can't) but on the rare occasion when I do, I really enjoy them.

Banana Nut Cake

Apricot Fried Pies

Prune Cake

All three fabulous, along with chocolate chip cookies that were so thin and deliciously crispy!

1. My mother made an apple cinnamon cake that I would have crawled over broken glass to eat. 2. She also made an insanely good bread pudding. 3. Super luscious tres leches cake from a Playa Del Rey, CA bakery.

I could eat dessert 3X a day and skip meals. I don't but I could.

That is a tough one because I have many. However, I have always loved:

Cherry and Blueberry Pies

Black and White cookies

Italian ice

Ice cream (especially vanilla, on Costco apple pie!)

Plain NY style cheesecake

Oatmeal cake sprinkled with powdered sugar

I prefer dessert over most anything else at holiday meals.

pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting

brown sugar shortbread

jacques pepin chocolate chip cookie

My grandmas recipes also

Coconut crème cake
Yellow cake with Caramel icing
My grandmas Sweet potato cobbler ( she made the BEST I wish I could make them like she did , my family had the recipe but none of us could make it like she did )
I have a fourth my grandmas tea cakes again we have the recipe none of us can make them like she did

@ECBG Homemade apple pie, pumpkin pie and sour cherry pie. With an honorable mention to the eggless, milkless, butterless chocolate cake our dear Mennonite sisters made for us at our high school back in the 60's.

And, a second honorable mention to the Oakmonter from Oakmont Bakery.

@PA Mom-mom Amish and Mennonite folks can really bake! My grands liked spending time in Lancaster and always brought back the most delicious baked goods!
