I was just watching the Temp-tations show on Q2. Lisa pulled out a container from the oven with chili in it. I've noticed that they always talk about chili from the oven. Is that the way most of you make yours? I always make mine on the stove top. I never learned to make it in the oven. Just curious.

I always make chili on the stovetop so the ingredients can be browned properly; maybe the Temp-tations chili was just in the oven to keep it warm and serve it after it was made on the stovetop? I could definitely envision that. (And of course stoneware typically isn't safe for stovetop use, so they likely want to make sure they're not being misleading.)

Agree with other poster that they are selling stone bake ware so they have to come up with oven receipes. They add cheese to the top of theirs so they put it in the oven along with cooking corn bread to serve with it.

You would need to brown the meat on the stovetop first- Then I guess it's possible to add all the other ingredients and bake it- Not my preferred method either but they are selling oven bakeware! 🤣

Probably just warmed and melted cheese in oven.

I have always cooked chilli on stovetop, unless I forget to cook a couple of hours before dining , then I use instant pot or pressure cooker and ready in about half of the time. Most newer models you can brown in the pot . I do not notice much difference in the taste.

It is definitley chilli weather where I am.
