Yes I keep the small bags of Doritos & chips you buy at the register check out for my pig out day which is Saturday. I try to eat healthier during the week & have one day to eat whatever I want. A nutritionist in a class I took told me she has clients who take one day or some the weekend to eat what they want.

So funny! When I want the good snacks, I do go home to my parents'. LOL

I try to follow a strict rule--- don't put it in the cart!!

However, I am in the office a few days a week. It's nice to have little snack size things like you mentioned-- cheez-its, chips, pretzels, trail mix to keep in my desk.

I usually take healthy choices with me to the office in terms of fresh food-- oatmeal, hummus, cut veggies and fruit. So I limit myself to ONE of those snacks per day.

We do like to keep some snack foods but we only indulge in a small amount on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. We like to have something like popcorn, chips, or maybe pretzels while we watch a movie.

We don't eat any snack foods during the week and we also make sure that we do not eat anything after 6:00 PM. We have dinner and then nothing until the next morning when we have breakfast.

That seems to work so well for us. I was a little hesitant when we first decided to fast in the evening but after maintaining that for over five years I don't miss a nighttime snack at all. My husband and I have both lost weight and neither of us feel hungry at night.

Depends on what you call a 'snack'. There's the good and the bad. But for me it's a little of both but mostly good snacks. Life is too short and ya gotta break the rules sometimes. Gimme my Cheez-Its!

Yes, we keep some healthier snack options on hand due to food allergies: make our own granola bars & popsicles, buy bulk nuts & divide them into mini mason jars, ditto dried fruit, and pepitas. Sometimes my better half makes us jerky but not frequently.

Hard-boiled eggs are always in the fridge. Prep our own small grab & go protein boxes with meats, cheese & nuts. Most nights, I will pre-slice some veggies for the next day or two. Always have fruit in the fridge as well.

When we bake cookies, we freeze most of them in small, individual servings.

Our only treat that might linger is Rice Krispie treats. My better half makes the most amazing brown butter salted caramel Rice Krispie treats as well as drool-worthy peanut butter & chocolate Rice Krispie treats. Those are usually special occasion treats, though.

If by snacks you mean packaged, salty items, then no, we don't have them in the pantry as regular items we eat. We do buy some chips when football season starts and we have people over, but even then I prefer to make fresh appetizers.

Our snacking tends to be fruit, veggies, nuts and the occasional fresh baked sweet item I have made.

I do love salty snacks and so does dh. But I don't miss not having them on a regular basis.

We have some things available as snacks but they aren't typical snack food, and we don't snack a lot. We are careful about the quantity and frequency and only have a snack when it fits in our plan for the day, rather than randomly and unchecked, so the macros are accounted for and the calories are included in our daily limit. Some or our options are:

Celery

Mini Peppers

Cucumber Slices

Salami

Cheese

Olives

Dill Pickles

Assorted nuts and seeds

Hard Cooked Eggs

Pork Rinds

Unsweetened Coconut Chips

Keto Coconut Clusters - plain and chocolate (only the Aldi brand)

Bake Believe and/or Lily's Chocolate.- a piece from a large bar or some chocolate chips

KF Cookies, Brownies, Cupcakes etc.(if/when I bake)

Yes, but I only buy things I'm not that crazy about so that when I do need a snack, I don't overdo it. lol If I bought anything chocolate? Down the hatch. So I buy mini pretzels and Wheat Thins. I count calories to maintain my weight so literally count eatch pretzel or Wheat Thin to equal a half/full serving. For the most part, I am able to stay out of my husband's snacks, which I would eat in a heartbeat if I could and maintain my weight.

Yes, I am a salty snack lover but I only keep Smarfood White Cheddar Popcorn on hand to eat with a sandwich or have as a snack. I also have Saltines for Chili and whole wheat Toasted crackers to eat with chicken salad....I don't snack on them though. Other things I snack on are nuts or string cheese.
