Jeanlouisefinch I read your post saying your posting before August thread goes up and I'm like omg I totally forgot to start August . its been awesome weather with no humidity and temperatures in the 70s. Monday I cooked a stir fry of carrots and broccoli with a peanut butter and soy sauce with pasta and last night I made crunch wrap Supreme. Taco bell has them but I find homemade is better. Its ground hamburger cooked with taco seasoning. You put creamy cheddar cheese on a wrap then meat, then a toastarda shell, then shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes sour cream and or taco sauce and finally shredded taco cheese and you fold it up And grill it comes out delicious. Hope everyone has a great August.

I am 100% sure your version would have to be better than any fast food place.

If dh is feeling better today, we will have spaghetti with Italian Sausage, salad, breadsticks. If he still feels queasy, the sauce will go in freezer and we will go to plan B. I don't actually know what plan B is yet.....but I will come up with something.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

I wish someone would tell me what to cook each day, I love to cook but figuring out what to make is my downfall. We have a PA RV camper get together coming up and I need to make a covered dish. I think I will make a tortellini salad, made it for the family reunion and they liked it so will do it again. (wihout the red-pepper!)

Millieshops I get that totally. I could never live in Florida. Way to hot for me.I have a friend that she has a house in Massachusetts and she comes up here for the 3 hottest months and she loves hot weather but still comes up here to get away from it.I always tell her don't bring us that hot Florida weather please. The first few days she came down this year our temps were in the 60s and she said I have been frezzing since I got here and then our weather got super hot and humid.I said to her.didn't I tell you not to bring us your Florida weather.

This is the month that I start cooking items for the freezer for later on in Fall. That is my favorite time of year and I am always very busy, so it's nice to have ready-made cozy meals in the freezer ready to go when I am home.

Jeanlouisefinch once again reading your post reminded me I planned on bringing a bowl outside with me to pick the blackberries that are ripe.I was in the garden Tuesday trimming and tying up tomato plants.I ate a few. they are so sweet and delicious. Good morning everyone. Still nice out but humidity is coming back today. For breakfast Yestauday around 10 used leftover French fries from food ordered this weekend and I dropped 2 eggs into the fries with some butter and I cover the pan so eggs cook quickly and yolk is runny so yolk goes over the fries and leftovers for dinner. Have a great day everyone.

If anyone is going to be in the yard, trimming bushes or weeding gardens, protect yourself and spray for wasps. It's common for my husband to get stung a few times per season but doesn't think much of it. This year has been the absolute worst. He was out trimming our boxwood hedge on Monday and was stung yet again. This time it was more painful than usual. He got some ice on it but it didn't help. As the day went on, his hand really swelled up and his arm was persistently itchy. He was taking Benadryl around the clock but it didn't make a difference. I picked up some hydrocortisone cream on the was home from my hygienist appointment Tuesday morning. It gave a little relief but he realized he needed to see the NP. They squeezed him in that afternoon. She put him on a medrol dose pack and he was feeling improvement by the evening. He resumed trimming yesterday and got stung AGAIN - TWICE! I told him he needs to spray from now on before he starts working out there. It would have been better, too, if he trimmed in April or May, but other things took presidence at the time.

DS and DGD will be over today. I'm making her favorite.

Barbecued Baby Back Ribs w/SF BBQ Sauce

Broccoli

Keto Corn Muffins

Keto Brownies

Everything was very tasty at the Italian restaurant we went to last night. I got a casear salad, rigatoni with marirana sauce and canoli from the price fix menu for 20 dollars. I also had a nice glass of cabernet.

This morning we are going out for breakfast to another place I have not yet been to. I am allergic to eggs so my breakfast choices are limited. I can eat things made with eggs so I am planning to have liege waffles- sweet dense waffles filled with pearls of sugar that .carmelize. I am having them with banana foster sauce. This place has outdoor seating and allows dogs so we are bringing DDs dog Tilly.

Tonight DH has a gig with his band about an hour north of the beach so my DDs and I will be going to a farm to table restaurant that we have been going to for years.

Leftover lasagna for me; my husband may opt for soup and grilled cheese, as a little lasagna goes a long way with him. If he never saw lasagna again until 8-3-24, it would still be too soon for him.

DH still has no real appetite due to upset tummy and he just wants soup and toast. I will have a small chef salad as I need something crunchy to go with the soup.

I plan on making a couple small pans for the freezer for DS and DDIL, but will wait until the middle of next month on that. I'm going to do things that will go in vacuum sealer bags this month, then the pan type stuff in September..
