OK, I'm not trying to bash. I am wondering why David always has to sit on a counter when in the kitchen area. I know he said he had problems when he was at his high weight, but he said now he doesn't have a problem doing a 4 hour show. Today is only a 2 hour show. I have seen him do this multiple times and am wondering if he's OK.

I really like David. I could watch him all day.

However, I've never seen him sit on a counter in the kitchen. Hmmm!

Maybe his feet or legs hurt him. As you get older, its hard on your feet to stand for long periods (it is for me). David is almost 60, so just may be older age aches & pains.

I've seen David sit on the counter before...my best guess is maybe it's a back issue - or perhaps he's wearing some of those shoes for men that QVC and he promotes from time to time...

He sits on the counter frequently, during the color countdown for many items. Multiple times during a single show.

Anyone who contends that they've never seen it hasn't watched a show in several years when the kitchen set was revamped.

No big deal and it matters not (to me) but is worthy of observation. It is a very, very awkward and poorly designed set considering camera angles and where a host must stand. The items could be displayed in a manner more suited to his height and not off on the side counter.

I've not really paid attention to it but I wonder if it is at least partially due to his height. Keeping the product display in the camera shot, or because he sometimes needs to bend forward to get the shot right for the camera.

David can do things now that he couldn't do before he lost the weight. Sitting on the counter is like when I lost 70 pounds many years ago, after having my son, and I could finally cross my legs when I sat down. I hadn't done that in years. David never sat on the counter like that before.

He also puts his hand deep inside his jeans pocket a lot while talking. He never did that before either. It's discovering the little things all over again.

And he gets plenty of break time when his "assistant" takes over presentations.

I don't think it's an age thing and it likely doesn't have anything to do with age. The show is 3 hours long for heaven's sake. That's a heckuva long time to stand regardless of one's age.

David frequently sits on the counter in one of the sets (the one in a corner where they display items along back shelves and a sink wall). I think he just does it because he wants to, and it doesn't seem to have any correlation to amount of time standing since that set seems to be used more often on Wednesdays when the show is almost always only two hours. I think it's weird for anyone to sit on a counter, even if food isn't really being prepared; it doesn't specifically bother me when David does it, but it does stand out as being unnecessary and slightly disconnected from the presentations.
