I have one that looks like a chicken. I use it all the time for hard boiled eggs.Got from HSN years ago. It can do poached eggs or soft boiled as well. Is very cute . It's name is Henrietta!!

I've done hard boiled,soft boiled, even poached, I've never poached an egg in my life,

my husband loved it! My favorite is soft boiled and hard boiled. I don't have a name for mine, I'll have to think about that!

No, I didn't name it--that is what it's called---I try not to name my small appliances :-) For some reason the emoticons aren't showing up. Fix it Q!!!!!!!

I've never seen one that small before! I love egg cookers - they are so handy and make everything so easy. I think mine is an Oster and it's quite a bit larger than this one.

I have a small kitchen so I try to keep gadgets to a minimum.

For perfect boiled eggs I just steam them for 10 minutes in my vegetable steamer basket, makes them very easy to peel.

For perfect poached eggs just put a cup and a half of water in a cereal bowl, crack in two eggs and microwave for 1 minute and 44 seconds, then let sit in water for another minute.Remove with a slotted spoon.

Easy, no mess and nothing extra to store.

Just used Henrietta today! Love that thing! Only I got mine from Q!

We travel with an egg cooker. The one I have is very small like the MCM, but I've had for a number of years. Handy even when staying someplace with a kitchen, but limited tools. Handier yet when staying someplace without a kitchen. Have even used on a cruise. (You just ask for raw eggs from your dinner server the night before; same goes when staying in a hotel with a restaurant.

Have been know to make soft boiled eggs in the car (I have converters in all three vehicles). Tiny enough to fit (along with a small Brita pitcher) into my carry-on bag or tote, and has traveled with us to a number of foreign countries. Yes, I'm REALLY picky about how my eggs are cooked. Very liquid yolks, well cooked whites. I rarely order eggs when eating out other than as an omlet, a tortilla or a frittata.

I thought about getting this but there are too many low reviews. From the reviews it looks like the quality is not consistent since a lot of people say it works great right from the start but a lot of others say it arrived broken, parts melted, or it didn't work at all.

Glad though that yours works and that you like it.

Another vote for Henrietta! I also do them on the stove when making more than 7 eggs.

I have had a Henrietta Hen since the first time it was presented & have never used it. Instead I use a Lucite egg in the bottom of my pan that tells me everytime when they are done how I want them. I got it years & years ago & it's never failed me.

I cook eggs in a small saucepan with no difficulties. I try to minimize ""specialty gadgets"" in my kitchen and stick with basic equipment that can be used in many ways. Less duplication and clutter.

This thing rocks! I received mine a few weeks ago, and have been making hard boiled eggs, soft boiled eggs, and poached. They come out just perfect. Next I'm going to try an omelette. The cooker is small and fits on my counter and to me the quality is just fine for what I use it for. Plus, no pans to wash which is a plus in my book!

I'm considering getting an egg cooker that does what Mark's does. I'm considering the Cuisinart it does the same as this one and I can use a coupon. It also cooks 10 eggs at one time. I have been debating between Cuisinart and the one sold here on the Q. Does anyone have the one sold here?

I have TWO Chef's Choice egg cookers and love them. I keep one at work. Where have these been all my life?

My husband loves deviled eggs, and with the cooker he has then frequently.

It comes with a pin correct? I notice the Chefs Choice and Cuisinart doesn't. The reviews state exploding eggs in the cooker I guess because you don't pierce the egg. Thanks for the review fashionista17.
