I've just recently discovered how much better the coffee tastes, when you grind it yourself.

I love Tim Hortons but wow, from a bean to the cup makes it fruity and delicious! I used to use their processed grind and it was tasty, but this is so much better.

The only problem is the dog barking when I start the grinder. He hates the vacuum, too.

Yes! We grind coffee beans every morning for our coffee. Have been doing it for decades. We like flavored beans more than just plain beans. Just a little splash of half and half, no sugar and I am a happy camper.

ETA- We use a Capresso burr grinder for the beans.

I've been grinding beans for my morning mug of coffee for years. I used to like Folgers beans until I couldn't find them anymore. Now I use 8 o'clock beans. I use pre-ground coffee when we go on vacation. It's okay, but I can't wait to get back for the real deal!

Yes, I have been grinding coffee beans for over 40 years. My best purchase was of a burr grinder Starbucks used to offer. I like that I can have a consistent grind without fuss.

The only issue I ever had was when we had a long power outage and I had nothing but whole beans. But I figured out a way to smash those beans and make cowboy coffee. Lol.

Our neighbor is a coffee aficionado, and roasts his own beans. He sources from different countries and when it's roasting day, the aroma it produces is wonderful. DH now buys beans from him, and grinds his own every morning. DH loves it. I don't drink it, because DH likes his coffee more robust, while I prefer it more light to medium strength. So, I do Nespresso pods and we are both happy, not starting the day griping about coffee strength or lack thereof. Lol

I use a Krups coffee mill that I bought 30 years ago, says it was made in Hong Kong on the bottom! When's the last time you saw something made in Hong Kong, lol? Anyway, I keep waiting for this grinder to stop working but it seems to be indestructible.

I grind enough beans to last me a week because I'm too lazy to grind beans every morning. I store the ground coffee in a small opaque ceramic jar with a locking clamp on the lid. Plastic containers are waterproof but not vapor proof. Amazon sells stainless canisters with airtight lids for storing coffee, all different sizes.

I do it all the time. I use whatever ground coffee I have, mesh bags I bought on Amazon, and a 64 oz. glass jar. I usually do two different flavors at a time. I found pour spout lids on Amazon too, that are convenient and fit the jar well. The jars fit on my refrigerator door.

I like all kinds of flavored coffee. DH will drink anything and doesn't care. Many years ago I bought an inexpensive grinder and did my own all the time. Then we started down the Keurig path and I gave up grinding. I agree, fresh ground has better flavor. I still like my flavored coffee but buy it that way. I'm sure it degrades a bit before I can use it all since I have a decent variety - these days I'm drinking an assortment of Bones coffee.. If I could get a small grinder, I'd consider grinding again. I'd really like a bigger professional grinder, but one more appliance out on the counter is a no for me (unless I can come up with a plan to rearrange my counters) ☕️
