I do have this, and it is fairly easy to use. It does a good chop of chopping things like onions and celery, which is what I mainly used it for when I used it. There is sometimes a little "drag" when you pull the cord, I don't know how to describe it best. It's not smooth as silk the way it appears during the TV demonstrations, but it does work well.

Having said that, I have to admit, I never use it, and didn't use it a lot even when I first got it. I don't have to chop large quantities, so it's just faster and easier for me to chop by hand, I enjoy doing that. For me, this was just another gadget that wasn't necessary and now takes up space.

It does what it's suppose to do, though, and does it well.

I have one (different brand) I got from HSN last year. I wanted it for chopping onions and celery for turkey dressing. It seemed to work well for that, but that's the only resaon I bought it, so will be using again this Thanksgiving. That's the only meal I cook all year.

It's very easy to use. I've had mine for a few years, use it at least once a week, and it's fine. I used it last night to chop some onion, garlic, and jalepeno for tortilla soup. Sure I could have done it with a knife but this way my hands don't still smell like onion, garlic, and jalepeno.

Yes, it's as easy to use as it looks. I've had it for years and have gifted it to friends who love it. One of those friends, who considers herself to be a foodie, gave it to her adult children and kept a spare for herself. Although I'm still using my original one, I also keep a spare, just in case. In addition to using it for chopping celery and onions, I use it to chop nuts (anything from rough chop to pulverized) and make fresh vinaigrette salad dressing. I like the fact that I can mix the vinaigrette ahead of time, put the lid on it and store it in the fridge until I'm ready to use it. I don't need it all the time but, when I do, I'm really glad I have it. Clean-up's a breeze. Everything but the pull-top can go in the dishwasher. I usually just wipe it with a damp sponge, making sure to keep the string section dry.

ETA: It's also great for making soft bread crumbs to use in meatballs and meatloaf.

@Imaoldhippie I'm on my second one, because I wore out (cracked) the first one over the course of several years. I have also given them to friends and family. Love it! I use it every week for mincing onions and when I have lots of garlic and hot peppers to mince. No tears. I've used it for basil, parsley and nuts as well. The only thing I've found it doesn't work really well on is when I have to grind flax seeds. They really need a spice grinder or blender.

One of my favorite QVC purchases. Use it all the time for onions. You can use it on peppers and celery, but not really hard vegetables like carrots.

I think it is that easy, but agree with the previous poster. Every once in a while there is a drag....I just stop and start again.

I DO use it on carrots and other hard veggies and nuts with no problems.

I am constantly using it when I bake...chopping oreos for a crust!

I thought it would last, the string an all....but it has lasted for YEARS!

Wouldn't hesitate to buy...but I do not have wrist issues yet....so the pulling is a breeze for me.

Don't put the top in the dishwasher though....

There are times when I dont want to get the food processor out and I have arthritic hands and fingers so chopping by hand is hard for me. This chopper is calling my name.

It's slick for egg salad. It's the perfect size to make enough for one or two sandwiches.

I have an earlier offer, 2 bowls and 2 lids. I love it and it is a top 10 item for me. I use it for chopping nuts, onions, garlic etc. but my favorite thing is to make tuna salad in it. I chop red onion and celery first, then I put in 1 - 2 cans of tuna and pull to chop then add mayo and pepper and lightly incorporate. Snap on lid and lunch is ready. I love it and have gifted it too.

I have purchased a total of 4 pull chops so far; one was gifted and 3 for me. I like them very much and rate it among the best items I have purchased from QVC.

I wore the pull cord out in one and also snapped a blade on a carrot chunk, but still have one in use, and a spare. When the spare becomes my regular, I will order another pull chop.

Do not get the pull chop lid wet, as that messes up the cord inside.

I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ this little chopper! I gifted 4 last year and then I bought the 2 cup one.

It really does a great job BUT be warned the blades are very sharp one time I had a large chunk of carrot stuck and stupid me tried to remove it with my fingers...took a second to slice my finger 😬😬.

Best little gadget and easier than pulling out my 4 c cusuinart chopper.

i have one and it's good. there can be a bit of a learning curve. Don't put in chunks that are too big and don't over fill.

one of my favorite kitchen gadgets is the Vidalia onion chopper. different sizes of dice and easy to use.
