@YouGoGirl1 I'm also interested in trying a French press. Sorry I don't have a recommendation. My Keurig is just not doing the job. My coffee doesn't have much flavor from the short time that the water filters through the k-cup. It's a little underwhelming and I'm ready to ditch it.

One of my dils purchased an insulated French Press from Amazon. See title below. It is very nice and keeps the coffee hotter than the glass one I have.

I do like the smooth taste of coffee from a French Press when I don't make espresso. Whether you try the one below or some other brand, I highly recommend getting one that is insulated and that has a good filtration so you don't get grounds in your coffee cup.

I purchased a Bodum Columbia model for a couple from their wedding gift list. Since I'm not a coffee drinker, I don't know about the quality of the beverage produced.

DH has a French press and he loves using it instead of his trusty Mr. Coffee. Not impressed with Keurig.

We have a Bodum. It has served us well for years. And still looks brand new. The copper trim is still shiny and attractive.

@YouGoGirl1 I bought a 34 oz. Francois & Mimi Vintage double wall stainless steel French press in December, 2019 for $34.90. The same one today now costs $54.95.

There is also a modern one--same manufacturer and ounces--for $29.95 on Amazon, but I hunted high and low for a long time for the vintage look that I purchased.

It is extremely durable and keeps prepared coffee hot but it is pretty enough that I keep it on display on my vintage style baker's rack.

You need to use a coarse grind of coffee for use in the press.

If you are a coffee perfectionist buy a burr (not blade) grinder and grind your own beans. I just pick up a small package of coffee already coarsely ground and keep the foiled, tightly closed bag in a Lock n Lock.

I am a daily several-cups-of-tea-a-day drinker brewed from leaves but when I have company that likes coffee I use this press if only three or four cups are needed.

When I have an occasional cup of coffee at home I drink it black so I appreciate the flavor of the coffee itself which comes through cleanly from the French press.

@simplyfriends, I like stronger coffee & the Hamilton Beach Pod coffee pot, wasn't doing it. I gave it away.
