I have three pieces of Curtis Stone that I baby. Hand wash, special cupboard. Like a shrine. The rest of my cookware I beat the heck out of. It also goes into the dishwasher. Most of it is Circulon, some hard anodized and one piece of stainless. I did purchase five pieces of Green Pan on lunchtime special. That's after the pieces I bought DD for Christmas. So far it has held up well, and I'm trying to be more careful, like not turning it up on high. But they were so reasonably priced it won't be the end of the world if I ruin one.

Hard to figure out which chemicals for non stick leech and which ones don't. I have been getting by without a various pieces from older sets that are on their last leg. I've been doing some research about the best cookware to buy and ummm, sorry but some of it is so expensive. Can you recommend a brand/type for me to look into?

Thank you in advance!

I use Curtis Stone from HSN. I have had his cookware for a few years. I find it to be excellent quality and doesn't scratch. You can cook on a lower setting also. I don't recommend his bakeware in the smaller sheets. They stain and deform in the oven. The big cookie sheets do well though.

I recommend AllClad stainless. I went through all different brands of cookware for many years. I finally invested in 2 sets of AllClad cookware and couldn't be happier. I don't do non-stick, too dangerous. But I've had my AllClad for about 12 years now and they look brand new. Don't go cheap. You get what you pay for!

I like Scan Pan from Sur la Table. They're a nice weight and perform well. Ironically, I have a few pieces of Rachel Ray's cookware and I really like them, too. I use the 3 quart steamer 3 or 4 times a week. The base is heavy enough that you can use it as a saucepan without scorching the food. DH just throws it into the dishwasher, but it cleans up very easily by hand, too. I've also got one of her large frying pans that's become my go-to pan for most sautéed dishes. I usually buy new Scan Pan pieces when they're on sale and have seen Rachel Ray's cookware on Zulily.

Definitely Green Pans or the less expensive Green Life Pans. Good safety profile, nice non stick that is seriously easy to clean. I've never seen anything quite like it. 👍

I know they're pricey but I love Chantal cookwear. I purchased an induction range and received a set with the purchase. I never would have thought there was sucha difference in cookwear until I had these pots and pans. There are all types for all types of ranges. They also have sales and sets or individual items.

When it comes to non-stick, I buy whatever skillets are available at Costco. Inevitably the non-stick coating becomes ineffective with high heat and use. My regular cookware is All-Clad, and I have never had to replace it.

I bought a set of this Circulon Premier Pro at Costco about two years ago and use one or more pieces every day. They are dishwasher safe, which more nonstick varieties are now claiming to be.

The saucepan lids have drain holes and the pots have pour spouts, which I can't live without.

Easy to wash by hand in under a minute, but I almost always use the dishwasher "because I can". Every piece still looks good as new.

This is not ordinary Circulon, so be sure if you buy to get this model. The set is sold on many different websites at varying prices. I got mine at Costco when it was on sale.

Circulon Premier Professional 13-piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set(Gold)

I don't do full cookware sets anymore and just replace what I need. I do have a couple of Curtis Stone pieces, but even those have failed after constant use. My DH cooks eggs in the one small pan on an almost daily basis and doesn't use high heat, but after a couple of years it started sticking.

Besides that, I have Kirkland Signature Hard Anodized cookware from Costco and have used it for years, more like a decade or two, and most of it looks as good as new as far as the nonstick coating goes. I did need to replace one of the large pans, but it's probably due more to me abusing it with the high heat "blackening" catfish than anything wrong with the pan. I replaced it with one of the Curtis Stone pans, and it's doing well, but also has darkened probably due to the same reason.

So, if I were planning to replace a whole set of cookware again I would probably go with a hard anodized set over Curtis Stone.
