Staub is good. Le Creuset is better. Both are good to cook with and petty. LC is a little lighter and I like the coating better. It is not stick proof but I have no issues at all with hit if I don't crank up the heat and burn or scorch stuff in it.

We use our LC grill pans with the black coating a lot. We love them to grease and make cornbread. Also, if you sear meat, pour very hot water in as soon as you take the meat out. You'll have broth and easy cleanup!

HSN has a STAUB pot as their TS today. They are great pots according to many sites. One thing I DO NOT agree with is the rep keeps saying that the "other" cast iron enameled pan (she is obviously referring to Le Crueset) stick something awful. That is totally not true. I own 3 of them (got at Marshall's years ago when they were cheap) and they clean up like a dream. You most certainly do not have to soak them overnight like she claims!! I hope people do not listen to her.

Anyone considering this HSN offering would do well to check Amazon or the Zwilling website first. I prefer a round Dutch oven to the oval, because I often use it on my stove top. I've had my Lodge for over two years, use it nearly every week, and it looks brand new. I realize they are not made in France, but I paid $69.00 for a 6 qt.

After the last two disasters on QVC LC orders I wouldn't buy from them again. One was lost and never heard of again in shipping and the other was sent without anything between the lid and the pot and the lid was upside down.

You could hear it banging and clanging when I got it off the porch and apparently others had that issue as well. To easy to buy on sale or from their outlets and retailers.

Le Creuset is the gold standard, I've had them for probably 40 years at least. No they don't stick but you can ruin the surface by letting something burn really badly. They are an investment that you can pass on. I was watching a South Korean chef, prepare something on YouTube recently, and I smiled when I saw him using a Le Creuset pot. It is truly an internationally treasured cooking item.

p.s. They are heavy for a reason, anybody who has cooked in a very thin pan, knows why.

I love my Le Creuset and have used them hard. I have scorched a thing or two over the years and admit it was my fault. Two were handed down to me and will pass them along when that time comes. It's heavy, and that is one reason it is not used daily, I just cannot easily lift them these days.
