9x13 Crock Pot

I have this crock pot and I mostly use it for making ribs. I like it a lot.

Thank you for the response. Do you know if you cook recipes for the same amount of time as other slow cookers or would it be less because of it being more shallow? I'm assuming the latter.

I don't have the one pictured, but my slow cookier is the actual Crock Pot brand so I can speak to the quality, which I think is very good.

I have noticed they have started making them with the locking lid for travel purposes (which I think is kind of stupid), but I think a better option would be to include two lids or sell the locking one separately.

I had one like this and it didn't heat well and was awkward to store. I would have only used it to keep things warm as a server, so I returned it.

I would never consider buying that shape because it takes up too much shelf space to store. Matter of fact I got rid of my slow cooker and just use my Instant Pot's slow cooker function to save space.

I have lots of storage space, so that's not an issue. I have 2 pressure cookers and several slow cookers (entertain/take food places a lot) but don't have this shape. I thought it might be good for certain recipes that don't work well in a traditionally-shaped slow cooker.

I have this CrockPot and really like it. I prefer to use it for chicken thighs -- makes it easy to lay them out without overlap for even cooking. It is a bit more troublesome to store but luckily I have room for it. I haven't had any issues with uneven temperatures and it's easy to clean.

I have some recipes for lasagnas and casseroles I'm going to try -- this shape is perfect for those things.

Why not wait A couple of weeks when every big box store starts selling electric roasters for holiday cooking? They are in many price points, starting at $40 ( I have several sizes including 2 Nescos; they always do the job and clean up easily).

Well, now what do I do? Lol Your experience is different from Sooner's. I would love to hear how the casseroles turn out.

I don't need anything as big as a roaster. This particular model of crock pot is still being made, but I think it's getting ready to be retired...don't think it will be going on sale anytime, but i am doing my research now in case I decide to get it. I was thinking about purchasing it for recipes made in a 9x13 to take to holiday and church dinners.

I will post again as my first response was poofed. I think that it is a very large appliance for 3.5 qt. It would not work for me because of the small capacity.
