It's been a very positive experience for me.

I also wanted to add that I lost weight every single week on Jenny until I reached about 122lbs......it was then that my body was making it's adjustments and the loss slowed down a little, but sticking to it and exercising (which I now love) got me beyond where I ever thought I could be weight-wise.

hula girl, what is the cost of the food? Do you buy it weekly or monthly? TIA

Tried it several years ago and loved it!...Lost about 30 lbs...the frozen meas and snacks were very good, the others were hit and miss...after I was at my goal weight, I wanted to keep buying the meals but they said I had to keep weighing in and meeting with my counselor, it became a hassle so I just stopped going...Good luck on whatever program you choose!

I've lost 85 pounds using Jenny and after many years of WW (which included reaching lifetime status......and immediately gaining back everything), I am on my 6th month of maintenance with Jenny and I love it. I started the program in July of 2012 at 196lbs.....I now maintain between 110 and 114lbs. I loved the food, I loved the on-on-one, I love that it didn't take very much time to stop in and weigh/pick up food, I love the maintenance, and MOST OF ALL, I love not having to sit in a meeting full of people listening to other people go on and on. I purchased the platinum program which included maintenance and if I maintain my weight within their guidelines for my height for a year, I'll get half of my program money back.

For me......Jenny was the best!!!

I was on Jenny years ago, but I quit before I reached goal. I bought 21 meals and 7 desserts a week. It was around $85 a week for food and you supplement it with things from the grocery store. Exercise is a help with all programs, but you could do it with little/no exercise. It would just take longer. You can go into a center and talk with a counselor to get details. If you don't like it, you don't have to sign up.

I guess the problem I had with the program was I am a vegetarian and there weren't many dinner choices. I would eat the same dinner choice every other night and grew tired of it. Breakfast and lunch were easy. I dreaded dinner.

I love the meals. I have been a life long member for many years. With no family to cook for I buy their meals the first two weeks of every month to keep my weight down.

Unlike what one poster said and was mislead, you can buy the meals without seeing a counselor. I get ten percent off the total because of senior discount. The person who told her you couldn't, get the meals without a counselor was wrong, just wanted more money. I call in the morning of the two weeks I am buying, order , go in and pick up. No other fee except food. I weigh my self before and give my weight to them. The person there said they have a few customers that do this.

For me it is less expensive than buying at the market because when I go to get fruits and vegetables, I don,t get the goodies and other stuff we don,t need, but are enticed to buy.

I am in my extremely late sixties and have lost 35 pounds since August with no exercise using Lean Cuisine meals. They are often 5 for $10 on sale. If I decide to eat them for lunch and dinner it's 4 dollars a day for 2 meals. They have a large variety too. I snack on Kind bars and 100 calorie a serving snacks. They have snacks that answer cravings for salt or sweets. I imagine Jenny Craig works well, or it wouldn't still be around, but I can't afford 500 dollars plus food.

I lost 20 pounds on JC about 12 years ago.

The food was VERY tasty, compared to the other diet foods out there.

And it worked too. My friend and I both said it must contain "crack" because it worked for us when other plans didn't!

On 2/23/2014 qvcaddition said:

Since I've been on maintenance, I'm allowed to pick up the special items I really like and also get the ten percent discount......the cheesecake is to die for and I also love the broccoli and cheese stuffed baked potato....

Congratulations on the 35 lbs. gone! That's quite an accomplishment and I'll bet you feel great. Thanks for your informative post. It sure seems a simple way to lose weight, but I worry about the salt content. I'll check it out. Thanks again.

Not all programs are that much.....they do have cheaper options. I just went for the "whole hog" (so to speak). Getting 1/2 of my money back pretty soon will make it a real bargain considering the amount of time I've been going and the individual attention is the best....you talk about your issues and not those of everyone else.

I've gone back to JC since my kids were born in the mid 80's. The food is great. I get a 15% discount, usually I spend less than $75 a week.

I have 8# to go. I would do much, much better if I would exercise regularly. I'm only losing about a pound a week, with some stalls during the holidays. I'm 54 now.

I agree with hulagirl about the one-on-one. I never liked the group meetings at WW.
