@ECBG That is a very interesting article. I have never seen the first eight patterns. I own two 3-piece sets of the Spice of Life pattern. I use them often. My grandmother had the blue cornflower style, but I have no idea what happened to all of her pieces.

Who knew Corningware would be a big collectible?

Very interesting. The Blue Cornflower pattern with sloped sides is listed that my mother gave me. 7 pieces with glass lids.

I have two Blue Cornflower bowls but I am guessing they are post 1958 because of straight sides and the smallest bowl has a plastic lid that states for refrigerator and storage use only. Made in the USA NYC. Also have pyrex bowls with a blue flower print made in the USA. Love them and cherish them. I rec'd them from my father in law years ago after my mother in law passed away. What a great article to read. I kind of remember all the patterns except the pattern on the perculator.

@Toots711 I wanted to read it too, but for the apparent link's removal I would have. One feels certain QVC does not offer rare Corningware patterns, so one does wonder... Anyway, Google rare Corningware patterns and you should find some interesting reading. I particularly liked this Daisey teapot...

I grew up in NJ, but my mom's family all lived in western NY state and my Aunt worked in design for the Corning company. She designed that classic blue cornflower pattern.

Somewhere in the dark recesses of my pantry I think I have a few pieces, along with some other more recent pieces from the late 60s and mid 70s.
