Russian Snowballs, also called Russian Tea Cakes.

I think they have other names too, but they are Russian Snowballs to me.

Tea Time Tassies - they're tiny pecan pies, baked in a cream cheese shortbread crust. The tanginess of the crust offsets the sweetness of the filling. So good!

Almond Horns....cookies made with almond paste. I absolutely love them....and they just happen to be gluten free.

@ECBG If you mean the Russian tea cookies, they are a butter cookie with chopped nuts and rolled into a ball and baked. Then they are rolled in powdered sugar. For all I know, they could be called something else in other parts of the country, but we called the Russian tea cookies.

@ECBG and @on the bay Mom used to make them with walnuts, but if Dad could collect enough hickory nuts before the squirrels got them, he would painstakingly crack and pick them so she could have them for the cookies.

I love homemade oatmeal cookies. For store bought I love Mothers brand Macaroon cookies which they don't seem to make anymore. But I love them
