SeaPak Fried Clams.

DD came home with a box of SeaPak fried clams and one of coconut shrimp. She grabbed them on a whim. We both love fried clams and you can't get good ones at any restaurant around here.

We tossed them in the Ninja and holy cow they were good with some sinus clearing cocktail sauce. That with a big salad made

a quick supper.

I think it was 7 or 8 minutes and they were done.

We will do the shrimp one night later this week.

Anyone else use and like SeaPak products?

yes they are so good.. but as with any seafood they were pricey. i bought them once, it was about 7.00 here at my store. but worth it if i dont get them alot.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 I have eaten the SeaPak salmon patties to make sandwiches on hamburger buns and they were quite good after being cooked in my Oster XL French door oven. I also used Heinz coccktail sauce to which I always add extra horseradish and Tabasco sauce.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 Yes, Publix has them on BOGO quite often. It seems they alternate weekly between the 3 big name frozen boxed seafood, SeaPak, Mrs. Paul's & Gorton's. Usually one brand goes on sale each week.

@Sooner I had no idea whether they were Asian or not so I Googled SeaPak.

It says the company was started in 1948 in Georgia, so I'm going out on a limb and say, no, they are not Asian.

@bonnie f DD got the family pack and it was $9 and change but we will get 2 suppers out of the box. I didn't think a total of 4 meals for less than $10 bucks was bad.

My husband has been looking for fried clams for months. We always bought Sea Pack or Mrs. Smith's. Can't find either one.

Guess we have to try harder to find them. We thought maybe they weren't making it anymore.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 Funny you should ask, I always buy the SeaPak Butterfly Shrimp in the family size because I get at least 3 dinners from it and it is only a dollar more than the normal size. However the box I bought last week was pitiful as far as size goes. It was like they forgot to butterfly it but it was still good.

I have tried the shrimp and shrimp scampi. Both are good.

I find them for around 8.99 but once in a while they go on sale.

Captain D's Seafood Restaurants are headquarters in TN but all the fish comes from China

I live on the Gulf Coast, I'm not eating fish from China

I did a quick search, it looks like the SeaPak clams may be harvested from Atlantic waters. If so, it's a winner & I love using my air fryer

We LOVE SeaPak Fried Clams but since the stores are missing half their inventoy we can't find them anymore! They remind me so much of being a kid again, eating fried clams at Howard Johnsons. Mmmmm so very good! I sure hope at least one of my local grocery stores start carrying them again.

That sounds delicious, will have to try those!

On a side note, how do you like your Oster XL? After owning mine for 2-3 years, loving it & using it almost daily I upgraded to the new version. Slightly different and still getting used to it.

That sounds like a perfect dinner! Not always available but we love the shrimp egg rolls. Snack size but delicious cooked in our Oster XL. Also get the big package of shrimp scampi from either Costco or Sam's. So good over pasta.

Hi, @rockygems123 You gave me a break from my early "almost spring" deep cleaning today. My self imposed deadline is noon tomorrow.

So, I upgraded to the latest version of the Oster when it was first presented on special and love it, just as I so enjoyed the earlier version. Use it every day, as I did with the original one.

I haven't had any problems with the newest version, but I stored the original one, just in case. You just never know, especially with the touch pad control panels which seem to be used almost exclusively by manufacturers now, when it might go "haywire".

I don't use my wall oven at all. I rent a townhouse and the oven is so old I have never figured out these slim little black slit tabs that are the controls. Can't even chhange the digital clock display. I think when this place was built in 1989 this must have been the original Kenmore unit.

The Kenmore gas stovetop is a dream, though. It's a five burner and huge. I so enjoy it compared to electric, and I especially don't like the glass stove tops, always afraid I'll scratch or break them.

When I need to prepare something that doeesn't fit in the Oster,

my 18 quart Nesco Roaster fills the bill. I have a whole turkey thawing in the fridge that I will pop in the roaster later this week.

A complete turkey dinner from "soup to nuts" is going to be my reward for all the hard cleaning work I am doing, so thank you for giving me a much needed break "talking" to you.

I love the SeaPak Fried Clams. They were only $2.99 for a huge box at Walmart way back when I first discovered them. Not $2.99 anymore. I was actually thinking about them yesterday since I was planning on a shrimp stir fry for my dinner but did not go out and get any.

Same here ... hit or miss on the SeaPak butterfly shrimp being a big or small size. We do buy the SeaPak shrimp once in awhile.

COSTCO also has good shrimp that we buy for the airfryer. COSTCO carries a breaded and a panko version, both are great in the air fryer. I should buy some of the clams for my husband, he would love them.

Having a hard time finding SeaPak Fried clams also.
