The French Chef on Magnolia Network

I stumbled on a series of original The French Chef episodes being aired on Magnolia Network this morning. They are the classic Julia Child presentations, and the video is pale and a bit degraded, but it's still fascinating - just as I remember when I was a kid. I hope these will be part of the regular rotation.

Love Julia...been watching all episodes. have them on auto-record. The black and white ones are as I remember. The baking shows with guest bakers (she was older) are so much fun.

Anyone see the Martha Stewert as guest making a quite involved wedding cake?

@PA Mom-mom There's a wonderful documentary about Julia Child, I think on Netflix...from her teen years through marriage and cooking school and on to her years on TV.

I haven't seen this -- will need to watch! I also love Zoe Bakes, she has such a nice warm personality! I wish I was her neighbor!

If you don't have Magnolia, the shows are also available on Pluto

If you have Pluto but never look at it, it has some really great older shows.

Late DH and I watched Emeril Live every night, it was great then and still great now, available on Pluto

Long years ago we had a lot of travel to NOLA and always made it to Commanders to eat that great food! Before the man was famous.
