I have been very intrigued with Tramotinas new nesting set and wishing they would make it in a higher quality set. The lids actually stack inside the pans and I love that. I wish they would make it in a stainless exterior.

I've seen several lines advertised, stating ceramic or whatever doesn't have any of the old negative ingredients. I can't tell you how many lines I've gone through with lining flaking off, including three from QVC. I don't use metal utinsels but do put pans into the dishwasher. I have bought a couple pieces of Curtis Stone but have been washing them by hand. I'm looking for all around durability.

I've owned and used heavily many different brands of nonstick cookware since the 1970s. None had to be discarded because of wear and tear, but just because I always wanted the newest and greatest

I have NEVER dishwashed a nonstick pan except for the CIRCULON Premier Professional set I got at Costco about two years ago. They come thru the dishwasher beautifully, and I use at least one piece every day.

I think the key to maintaining nice nonstick cookware in most brands, however, is to follow the manufacturer's advice, which usually says "dishwasher safe...hand washing recommended".

<<Cook like the pros with durable pots and pans designed for convenience and high performance with the Circulon Premier Professional 13-piece hard-anodized cookware set. Stainless steel base is suitable for all stovetops, including induction. Constructed from heavy-duty hard-anodized aluminum that’s twice as hard as stainless steel, this versatile collection of pots and pans features the unique TOTAL® Nonstick System of high-low circles built into the pan surface for exceptional, toxin-free nonstick performance that lasts 10x longer than ordinary nonstick coatings. The cookware set is oven safe to 400°F and is dishwasher safe for fast easy clean-up. >>

My way of cooking has changed the last couple of years where I'm using skillets and bakeware more than pots & saucepans. I bought a set of three Henckle skillets from Costco that are fantastic. Regular price, $80 for the set but they have gone on sale from time to time.

Henckels Capri Notte Granitium 3-piece Fry Pan Set

Item 1424569

YES! I bought these at Costco while waiting for Curtis Stone to come back with a skillet set. These are great and are SO easy to clean and are non stick. I have only hand washed yet because I think I did damage to my Cooks Essentials in the dishwasher. If I do end up putting them in the diswhasher at some point, I will be certain to take them out before the dry cycle

I also think it depends on how much you want to spend.

I got a steal of a deal several years ago on a large everyday Scanpan from Sur La Table. It was on sale and they also allowed use of another 20% off coupon so it was a bit less than half price.

It's the best pan I've ever owned and I hand wash all my pans. I can leave things in it at a low simmer and they never burn or stick to the pan with minimal stirring.

As much as I'd love more pieces, I'm not about to spend the money.
