No More Edwards Lemon Meringue Pie!

You may have read about the issue I had at Thanksgiving and ended up with Edwards Lemon CREAM pie when I sent DH to get their Lemon Meringue pie.

The Lemon Cream was just fluff with a few lemon nuggets and I wrote the company.

They have discontinued their "flagship" pie that has set the standard for years and many cooks have bought!

Very disappointing! I've been looking for the lemon meringue with no luck for the last year. Plenty of key lime which is ok but the lemon meringue is my favorite.

There's a new pie, peach cream or something. It's also just a blob of cream on a crust. Too bad.

Marie Callendar's lemon 🍋 meringue pie is the best by far. Imo

Thank you. I've tried Marie Calendar's and wasn't pleased. Edward's LM pies were served in restaurants.

My husband went grocery shopping and came back with an Edwards pie. I don't remember what flavor it was, something with caramel. He ended up throwing it out.

I remember laughing at how thin it was. There was hardly any filling.

Their quality seems to be lacking. I wonder what happened.

Just a suggestion: If you don't want to make your own pie, try a bakery or the deli bakery in your local supermarket.

I wouldn't think lemon meringue pie would freeze well - at least not the kind I'm familiar with.

Not a big fan of lemon meringue (or any meringue for that matter) so no big deal for me, but will say that having sampled a few of each brand, Callender's pies are better.

Well, I was so surprised that Etsy has a vendor KrisKreatedKustoms who sells Lemon pies for $29. I love homemade lemon pies. I used to make them often by using an old family recipe . They are alot of work to make , so I might try the Etsy one for $29 and the $20 shipping from Germantown , Tn .

My Grandmother made the best pies especially lemon meringue. One time she put the pie on the porch to cool and their dog licked off all the meringue - just the meringue - he didn't touch the filling. She made more meringue and never told anyone until a year later.

Have you had the lemon meringue with the cookies on the end? That was the Edwards Lemon Meringue pie!

Wow! I normally make a pie or two every weekend, usually apple, so I make a lot of pies.

$29. I'd make and sell lemon pies for that price. I am a dog owner, so my kitchen would never be approved for commercial baking in my state.

I am amazed at how much baked goods cost. I once bought a small apple pie from a Amish lady while we were on vacation as a treat for my husband. I paid $15 for it.

He tried to eat one slice and couldn't. He said it was awful and I ended up throwing it out. Never again.
