New for us this year

Due to the things going on around us, this year we're ordering our Thanksgiving meal this year. I'll mention who from after the holiday, if we like it. Not going to slam a company if they are having trouble getting workers this year. Think everyone is doing all they can. So we'll see. I trust this restaurant, so I'm not really worried. It'll be easier on us too.

OK later. Maybe someone else is doing the same. ??

I understand the ease of just ordering but I find it more work than starting from scratch.

Don't you have to heat everything up?

I find it easy throwing let's say a turkey breast in the oven, find some ready made potatoes, cranberry relish, can of vegetables, bag of rolls, baked freezer pie and there you have Thanksgiving.

This is our TG menu favorite story-we still carry it on.

Years ago when Mom was still with us and I was in a wheelchair. We had TV dinners. Bought dessert and other sides. Mom said it was the best TG dinner she ever had.

Heres an aside:Hubbs doesn't like pumpkin pie,yams or cranberries. Just not his kind of food.

If I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner, be prepared to eat grilled lamb chops, fresh veggies, and some easy potato side. Maybe a Costco pumpkin pie for dessert. Might even do that for myself depending upon who is around for the holiday rather than anything closer to the traditional meal.

BEAUTIFUL! When you're planning and dining with Loved Ones, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich can be better than the finest feast eaten alone!

@qualitygal ---I tried this a couple times and both were wretchedly horrible. Came from the grocery stores and was a complete waste of $$. But one year we went to a local restaurant for a buffet type Thanksgiving that was AMAZING. but that was going out and not in my home. guess it depends where you get the meal--probablly will never do that again.
