Saw these in a Taste of Home Holiday Recipe Cookbook

and before I buy the mini tartlet set and the wood tamper

are they good? how can you describe them, they look pretty.

the recipe I have calls for almond extract so I assume that's the flavor.

A former co-worker of Norwegian descent used to bring a cookie by this name to a holiday cookie exchange. Her recipe didn't use almond extract, but she did decorate the tops with sliced almonds in a starburst pattern. They were pretty and delicious.
