Stemless Wine Glasses

I've wanted stemless wine glasses for awhile, and finally bought these on sale at Macys. They're on sale again now, at half price.

They're Lenox Tuscany Stemless Wine Glasses

Having used them for a few months, I'm loving them more and more. They're a good size, not too big or too small. They're made of lead-free crystal. The shape is nice, and they won't tip over like a tall wineglass. We use them almost daily, and I think they'll look pretty on a table during the holidays.

I think they'd make a good gift, too.

Those are very nice! At first I didn't care for stemless but I think they are very practical and enjoy them.

They are pretty glasses but wine is not meant to be held in a warm hand.

I picked up some Riedel stemless wine glasses. Spoiled me for anything else.

DS & DDIL got me started on stemless. They go easily in the dishwasher and are also easier to store.

Absolutely not for me. Stemless Wine glasses? No, no and No again. Scotch, Yes. Wine No. I don't want Palm Warm White wine. Might as well have grape juice.

@peachesncream @They're beautiful! I've thought from time to time about stemless glasses that could be all purpose - wine, or cocktail. I know that typically white wine is served in a larger glass than red. But that is not important to me.

Those are lovely and Lenox is a wonderful brand.

I don't drink wine, so I never thought of the part where holding the glass warms the wine. Makes sense, though.

I hope you love your glasses. They will probably last a lifetime because they are Lenox. Well, if you have a man in the house who isn't careful, good luck with that.

If anyone is interested in the differences in wine glass size/shape, Geoffrey Zacharian has a great short tutorial on his Instagram page that he posted just today. He goes into a suggested use list demonstration for many different styles of glasses for champagne, red wines, white wines, roses, brandy, cordials, etc.

I don't use stemless wine glasses because I drink white wine which I like very cold. However, I really like the lookd of the stemless glasses in the OP; the bottoms are very interesting. I think they would be great for other cocktails.

I’ve been considering a nice set of stemless glasses. My husband bought me a couple of the Goverre stemless glasses with silicone sleeve and I like them a lot.

I do understand people’s points about not wanting to warm a glass of chilled white wine. But for reds, not a big deal to me. Besides, unless I’m at a party or other occasion where I’m holding my wine glass the whole time, if I’m at home, the glass is going to be on a table in between sips.

Also, with dogs and also my clutziness, stemless are a less hazardous option, lol.

What a beautiful set of Lennox Glasses! I really want to get rid of my stemmed glasses and get some stemless. I use my wine glasses for more than wine. Everything from chilled water to frozen drinks. Makes me feel fancy as I'm wearing my joggers on the couch! Ha! I need to check this set out. Cheers!

Those are beautiful. I'd use them for red but not for white or rose'. As others have said, I don't want my white wine to warm up by holding the glass.

As a Depression era glass collector I love stemware. Might as well use peanut butter jars.

I try never to hold a wine glass unless there is no place to set it down. When I pick it up to drink, I don’t pick it up by the stem either, which I guess is a faux pas. So a stemless glass would be no different for me.
