Anyone get QVC wine delivered?

Hi--wondering if anyone ever had wine delivered from QVC? Didn't see a "wine & food" category so I figured I ask here. I'm concerned how the box is delivered & if there is a description on the box as to what is inside? These day with all the "porch pirates" I'm afraid if someone sees that it indicates wine is in the box it may be gone before I get my package. Thanks for any help you can give.

I thought that you had to be home to accept a wine delivery. They need to be sure that the recipient is of age.

We get Wine delivered. Yes you need to be home and sign for it

I have wine delivered quite frequently. I only get a full case -- 12 bottles -- not the 6-bottle set. So the box is very, very heavy. A porch pirate would not be able to get away very quickly.

In fact, UPS always has to drop it off using a hand truck on wheels because it's so heavy.

Sorry, I cannot answer your question about what's on the box. But I don't think there are any identifying photos or lettering.

I just checked the box that our wine came in. Vintage Wine Estates came in a big brown box. Nothing that says it's wine.

I have no idea if other Wines come the same way. Best to ask customer service

I've ordered wine from QVC several times, the most recent being the 12 bottle Vintage Wine Estates which just came on Saturday. They came in a plain brown carton (heavy!). One must be home to sign and accept delivery.

@donniesmom Wines must be signed for. Delivery person by law cannot just drop off.

And the wine I've ordered from QVC and other providers is not labelled that it contains spirited beverages.

Be forewarned--box will be heavy!

I live in a city apartment and the wine case was delivered to, and left in, the building lobby. I was not asked to sign anything. Can't remember if it was FedEx or UPS. I think the carton was plain. Fortunately I got to it before anyone else!

Thank you all for the info. I did order from Vintage Wine Estates. I will have to ask my neighbor to be "on the lookout" as I won't be home until later tomorrow. Wish there was a way to know what time they were delivering but these days who knows? I know about tracking it but sometimes that doesn't work very well. I'm not worrying about the weight, I know it will be heavy. I'm sure I won't have a problem. This is my first time ordering wine. Thank you all again for your help. Hope this wine is good!

Yes, I've had wine delivered twice. The bottles were packed inbetween 2 layers of a cardboard material like they used to use for eggs. All bottles have been intact . The outside of the box does states in a smaller size print that it contains Alchol and that a signature is required . My Fed Ex delivery person left it on my doorstoop both times without me signing, however I was home both times. He didn't bother ringing the door bell.

@skatting44 I haven't had to sign for mine in the past 2 years. But I do have to be home for it. I guess they take one look at me and figure, why bother?

But they will not leave it at my doorstep. Once they made a 2nd attempt at delivery, and that worked out fine. Another time I missed both attempts and I had to drive to the UPS delivery depot not far from me to pick it up myself. I had to sign for it there.

When I lived in an apartment, I believe I had to sign for the wine (it was a few years ago). I am now living in a house and I ordered wine around last Thanksgiving and did not have to sign. UPS just left the box inside my entryway. There were no markings on the box and the wine was very well packed. I am almost ready to order another case for this holiday season and beyond.

My advice to you would be to check the tracking often to see exactly when the wine will be delivered so that you can ensure that someone will be home in case they do require a signature. I was ready to sign when mine was delivered, but he just left the box and took off.

Thanks for all of your help ladies. My order came yesterday. I knew I wasn't going to be home so I left a note on my door for Fedex to leave box at my house but if delivery required a signature to go to my neighbor Marilyn's house & she will sign for it. As it turned out, he just left the box and never asked for her signature. The box was nicely packaged. The outside didn't have any large print of what was inside only a small sticker that said alcohol was inside. They also put egg carton like containers inside holding the wine. Now I know what to expect if I decide to order again.

I had Gaze wine delivered. It was in a box with dividers. This wine comes in aluminum bottles. And I didn't have to sign, but if no one answers the door, they will not leave it.

Last year I ordered food and several bottles of wine from Costco thru Instacart. I had to sign for the wine.
