Hello everyone, I went to Costco and the Dry Container 32oz for 99.00's. Is this a bargain?

Just make sure it fits the base of your own Vitamix. It is not a universal fit across all bases.

I saw the Demo today you get both the Dry 32oz and Wet Container 64oz tall one. You also get the Cookbook and the Variable Speeds with three presets. All for 499.00's. I would have taken this deal if I didn't purchase the 750 Pro. I got it for a little over 600.00 at Williams-Sonoma about a year ago.

The 32 oz. dry container will fit any Vitamix made for home use that came with a plastic container. For example, I can use my dry container on both my 12 year old Vitamix 5000 and my new Vitamix Pro 750. It cannot be used on the vintage Vitamix machines that came with the stainless steel container.

With the different size of containers, are the lids & lid hole is smaller for the 32-oz? Of course the tamper will be smaller....also wonder how many 64-oz tampers have been used & chewed up with the 32-oz. container since 64-oz tampers are longer....

Santorini - No, the dry container has the dry blade assembly. Actually, it is called a dry container when it's fitted with the dry blade assembly, and it's called a 32 oz. wet blade container when it's fitted with the wet blade. As you've pointed out, the one at Everything Kitchens is equipped with an ice blade... definitely not suitable for grinding grains into flour and not such a bargain without a lid or lid plug.

Sidsmom - The lids and lid holes on the 32 oz. containers are smaller than for the 64 oz. containers.

I use the mini-tamper for my 32 oz. containers and my 48 oz. container as well. The 64 oz. standard tamper is too long and, although it has a "step" that is theoretically supposed to allow the longer tamper to be safely used with the 32 oz. container by blocking it from reaching the blades, many standard 64 oz. tampers have been "eaten" when that "step" just didn't work out too well. The tamper that comes with the low profile 64 oz. container won't even fit through the lid hole of the 32 oz. container's lid.

It's a good price -- it's regularly $144.12 at QVC and $133 on Amazon. I love mine. I purchased it from QVC when they had a special price of $50 one day ... so glad I caught that show!

A month ago or so I asked the Vitamix demo person at Costco if the dry container came with a tamper. He said it did Not, that would be extra.

The only tamper I have ever seen sold separately on Amazon is the long tamper that is identical to the one that comes with Vitamix machines that are equipped with the tall 64 oz. container.

To the best of my knowledge, Amazon has never sold the mini-tamper for the 32 oz. and/or 48 oz. containers as a separate item, nor does Amazon sell the tamper for the 64 oz. low profile container as a separate item.
