I agree with the OP....I know more about VitaMix than I need to know. There have been too many shows on it today....this happens all the time (computers, mattresses, vacuums, etc). You have to move on .....

Well, I'm happy they are showing ideas on how to use the Vitamix. When QVC has presentations I'm not interested in, I don't watch. And they show plenty of products I'm not interested in.

If they're selling them, it's time well spent. It's the TSV for today so, of course, there will be many presentations.

Actually there was a report on the news that they take all the healthy goodness out of the veggies and fruit by blending it up so much.

watching QVC sometimes i feel like it is the middle of the night and i have turned to an infomercial channel with Vitamix, mattresses, WEN, etc. certainly not the variety of yesteryear.

It's a TSV and will be presented all day-THat's what happens. It does seem that Vitamix is a TSV once a month though!!!I never understand why people complain about the scheduling. Do people have nothing else to do?

That report was not about "blending" fruits and vegetables, but about juicing them - which leaves most of the fiber and many of the nutrients behind. Not to mention that juices leave you feeling less full and provide more calories than eating the whole fruit or vegetable.

I love watching the presentations to see new ways to use my Vitamix. They are still selling thousands of them, I think David mentioned at like 3 PM Central that they had sold over 16,000 so as long as people keep buying them they will keep selling them.

Well I just bought two of these today and while i DO watch QVC each day at some point and do alot of my shopping with them I have never seen a vitamix demo. I didnt need one until now so apparently didnt see the need to watch when they have them on. Today however was the day my family was interested and we appreciated all the demo's on recipes, how to use it etc. I can see watching in the future now in order to continue to get more great recipe ideas. We enjoyed the shows.

I have not interest in one but plenty of other people must. Of course, I don't expect QVC to cater to my specific tastes and needs.

As long as your are not cutting off the outside, that report that says blending reduces the vitamins, etc., sounds like hooey. I look at it this way, better Vita Mix than computers and mattresses. At least I pick up new hints.
