The only way that I like my eggs prepared is scrambled. My mother always made them with a small amount of milk. That is the method that I've always used.

In many recipes I've seen water being used instead of milk. I'm sure that keeps the calories down but it doesn't seem as tasty to me.

How do you prepare scrambled eggs?

I make them with water or milk depending in my mood. Water makes them fluffier and lighter, IMO.

Sometimes I fry some onion in the pan before I add the scrambled eggs. This makes a good egg sandwich.

I like them with small cubes of cream cheese and bits of smoked salmon scrambled in with the eggs.

Cottage Cheese, sour cream or yogurt makes scrambled eggs yummy.

They are best cooked in a little butter.

I grew up with them made with milk, but I tried water once and they are much fluffier and I prefer that. To make them creamier, I use about a teaspoon of parmesan cheese!

When making an omelet, you never add water or milk to the egg mixture. You just pour the whipped eggs into a pan and tilt the pan to spread the mixture. An Omelet should be disk shaped and in one piece.

Scrambled eggs are stirred while cooking and should be in soft crumbles when served and a liquid can be added to the eggs before cooking them.

I guess the taste is just about the same if it is a plain omelet.

I make mine with water. cooked in butter. Used to make with milk but they came out more watery/runny that way. Plate them up just BEFORE they look done as the residual heat will finish them to nicely done not overcooked on the plate as someone else said too. I also add a teensy bit of vanilla once in a while.

Definitely, add water. Something I learned many years ago and it sounds gross if you've never tried it, but the eggs are much fluffler. Now, if you like a more dense consistency, maybe you don't add it.

It's just a splash, depending on how many eggs.

Then I stir the mixture (seasoned, of course) from the outside in. Love scrambled for dinner. Always good for adding veggies or leftovers like meatloaf, pasta, etc.

🐓
