Keeping coffee hot

I like my coffee hot, not lukewarm---same with tea. I have tried it in porcelain, stainless steel, ceramic etc. It gets cold so fast. I saw one today that is enameled metal. I was wondering if this would be good at keeping my drinks hot enough. I really don;t like drinking from metal, but this would be coated. Any one?

I never touch the stuff, but, you might try a Yenti coffee cup.

I got the big tall one for water.

I just reheat mine in the microwave. My mother bought a small electric heat plate that is the size of a coffee mug that she uses for her morning coffees.

I feel your pain. I like smaller cups ,not commuter size. I mostly use Correlle because it's lightweight, not that it keeps coffee hot. I preheat my cup with water in the microwave on mornings when the cups feel cold. .The coffee doesn't stay warm for long. DD got a Primula coffee mug 14 oz but I never asked how it worked.

Yes. My appt. is for March 4th and I am on a cancellation list. Plan is to remove and discard my bridge on my front teeth, remove the tooth that broke off in the gums and make a new bridge. Expensive, but I don't want to mess with an infection in my head after reading all the comments. Thanks for remembering me.

I also love my coffee HOT. For many years I used an electric percolator and the coffee was always HOT. In the last several years - these electric percolators have all been defective - I tried at least 6 different brands. They're made very cheaply in China - and they last a few months.

I went on Amazon a year ago - and bought a 5 cup inexpensive drip coffee maker. The coffee comes out luke-warm - so I've had to put it in the microwave for 34 seconds. While drinking the coffee - I've had to put it back in the microwave to heat - as it doesn't stay HOT.

I can't figure out what's going on with COFFEE MAKERS!!!!!!!!

I also like my coffee piping hot. I've tried everything, including those hot plates and nothing did the trick. I recently purchased the above mug from Amazon, and while it's not perfect, it beats everything I've tried.

My coffee must be almost scalding hot. I use a Keurig. First I run my ceramic coffee cup under the kitchen faucet as hot as it goes to warm the cup. Then I put the milk in and microwave that for 30 seconds. Then the Keurig does its job with the coffee and it's screaming hot and light with milk.

I gave DH an ember mug for Christmas. It links to his phone and he can control the temp that way. Seems to like it. I purchased the original one despite the reviews, but perhaps the second gen is better.

I have seen the personal cup warmers that were mentioned before.

There are also small thermos bottles with an open close spout to drink out of.

@geegerbee Have you seen the ember mug? It is tempature controlled so it can keep your coffee at a set tempature while you enjoy it without it cooling off. Target has it for $99. I don't think you have to use the tracking, etc, and could just just set the tempature if you like.

Try a double walled clear glass mug from Bodum. I can’t even sip my coffee for at least 20 minutes after I pour it because it stays so hot.

Drink fast! I've tried everything .... never keeps it hot enough/ Don't like metal either. But I got a Yeti last year and it keeps it hot for a long time. I would boil water and let it sit in the Yeti which helps to heat the inside. When the coffee was brewed I'd pour into a large measuring and heated the coffee from the pot cuz it's never hot enough for me and heat it in the microwave and transport it back to the Yeti. It's a lot of work. Then I drink it as quickly as I can.

Zojirushi makes the best travel mugs and tumblers I've found. They are great at keeping things hot or cold. You do not touch metal drinking out of them and the top comes apart for easy cleaning.

Pour hot water in the cup to warm it up.

toss the water and pour the coffee or tea.

@geegerbee You must try a Yeti cup, coffee will be hot for hours. They are a little $$$$ but worth it.
