sugar, flour, and salt? I have mine in glass canisters on my counter so they are handy when I need a scoop or two. I keep the larger bags of salt and sugar in my pantry. I keep my extra flour in the freezer.

Are people still using canisters?

I use plastic see throughs with tightly fitting tops. I keep them in the cabinet above my work area. No canisters.

I'm sure I'm out of the loop, but I'd think only bakers would have these things on their counter tops. I'm a diabetic and have no sugar in the house. I have reduced sodium Morton salt in the container it came in a kitchen cabinet. I think I have a small package of flour that is 2 years old there as well. I don't know if it's good or if flour expires. I doubt I will use it.

I keep all that stuff in my pantry in LocknLock @tends2dogs I don't have canisters. Used to.

Mine are in Lock & Lock containers in the cupboard. I only wish I had enough counter space to keep them out.

I have 2 canisters from a set, one with DH's sugar for tea, the other has my vitamin packets and Stevie packets. I want 2 large glass canisters but can't find what I want. The sugar one needs to be large enough.

I still keep my canisters on the counter. I bought them years ago and still like looking at them. They are highly polished aluminum and teak lids.

Sugar is in the largest canister. I keep the flour in a sealed glass container inside the second canister.

The third canister has tea bags. My husband drinks at least one cup of tea a day. So it is easy for him to get his tea bags.

I keep flour, sugar and rice either in plastic zip bags or in lock and lock containers once the bags are opened in my pantry. Salt and pepper in a cabinet by my stove. All of my other spices in a rack attached to the door of my pantry. I have known people who kept coffee in the freezer but I have not heard about flour in the freezer.

I keep mine in L&L in the pantry. I have lots of counter space, but I prefer uncluttered counters.

Kosher salt for cooking in a salt cellar next to the stove, sugar in a sealed container in the pantry and flour in a giant Mason jar on the counter.

salt and pepper are in electric grinders near the stove for use in cooking and for the table.

sugar and other sweeteners are near the keurig and percolator.

large amounts of flour, sugar, baking soda, and other baking supplies are all stored in lock n locks in my cupboards.

Sugar is in canister in a cabinet, convenient for hubby to get to for his cereal.

Flour is in lock n lock cont in crisper, don't use that often so its dated for expiration date.

Salt is sea-salt in the grinder, any excess is in concealed container in cabinet.

Don’t use countertop canisters anymore. My various alternative sweeteners, alternative flours, baking soda, baking powder, and assortment of nuts are all in Prepworks containers and stored in a cabinet until needed. Our little container of powdered stevia is parked on a small tray near the Keurig along with my frother. Pink salt and coarse ground pepper are in small crocks and remain on the counter near my olive oil and avocado oil for easy access.

Sugar and flour are in large Lock N Lock containers in the pantry. I have a cook top that underneath it are 4 drawers (where I keep my pots) and on either side are spice racks...that's where the salt is.

Got rid of my canisters years ago. Now I store sugar and flour in Lock n' Lock containers.

Refrigerate flour in its own bag.

Sugar is in an old-fashioned glass canister on the counter. Brown sugar is in an old-fashioned glass jar also on the counter.

Since I use sea salt, I just keep it in the container in which it comes, stored in the cupboard w/ the other spices.

@tends2dogs I bake alot and have glass canisters on my baking counter. I store my extra flours and sugar in my large Lock & Lock in my cupboard.
