KOCHBLUME Spill Stoppers

I bought the Kochblume Spill Stopper awhile ago. And wasn't impressed.

Put it in the back of my pan cabinet until last night. I was looking for a lid for a pan. Put it on the pan. It made such a mess. Even though it was the largest size spill stopper, it was a bit too small for the pan. It just fell into what was cooking and was covered with the food.

The pan I was using was not that big. It was a standard size. Going to test it on a few more pans before I throw it out.

I got the big one I use on all my pots. Bed and Bath has them. Can't remember the brand starts with a 'K' seems like it's made in Australia.

I wouldn't be without mine. Love it ! Think it's the same brand as that

guy here at QVC pushes. The gadget man that is on Davids show.

I have the Kuhn Rikon 11 inch. I never have a problem with anything spilling over. Great product.

make sure all the flaps are shut could be her problem. Sometimes they like to poke inward. Just have to pull them out so they're laying flat on the surface

I have a large Kochblume that DH purchased at an outlet store. I like it and have never had anything spill. I'd like to get a smaller one but don't want to spend the money.

One can't blame the product if it is used improperly. The fact it fell into the pan ought to tell you what is wrong. I boil my pasta on high and this thing has saved me many a spill-over.

I would vouch for Kuhn Rikon as a company that makes good products.

On another note, however, I don't understand this kind of product. Why don't people just use a pan that is appropriate to what they plan to cook in it? I've been cooking all my life and never had stuff boiling over the pan like that they would most likely show in a presentation for such a product. (I can't even imagine how they would dramatize that! )
