Dressing is my favorite part of the meal. I like it on the dry side and nice and crispy on top. I'm one of the 5 people in America that doesn't like gravy, LOL, but that's more for everyone else so it's all good.

I try to do both. I put some in the turkey, as I think it adds flavor to the turkey meat. This stuffing always comes out moist. I put the rest in an oblong baking pan and bake it off as the turkey rests. This stuffing comes out a bit crispy on top and semi moist on the bottom.

I also make gravy. I love just some dressing with turkey meat and gravy on top! Yum!

I like mine moist, but no gravy. My dressing is very plain with just onions and celery, salt and pepper. I mix it with chicken broth. Some goes in the bird and the rest is baked in a pan. The only leftovers I keep for myself is some turkey and dressing. Love my turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce and cold dressing. YUM.

I like to simmer the turkey giblets in water to make a broth. I also use a lot of celery and onion, which I saute in a generous amount of butter. I use eggs to keep the whole thing together and moist. But when you have people who like it drier, I agree with some of the other suggestions that you do two dishes, and for the drier one, either omit the eggs or just bake it a bit longer. If you have the oven capacity, you can also crank up the broiler at the very end and let the top get browner.

I don't eat any of that stuff. I do like cornbread used in dressing made with buttermilk so it's really moist.

My Thanksgiving meal will be a turkey sandwich, apple, slice of pecan pie. DH will have turkey, ham, green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, dinner roll, pie.

Neither of us eat all those Traditional foods during Thanksgiving or Christmas.

@Lali1 One tip: On Wednesday night, I make a broth with the giblets, neck, carrots, celery, onion, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. No salt. I use some of it to moisten the fillings ( I do bread/potato and oyster) along with lots of butter. I keep the remainder for basting the turkey in the early stages, and to supplement my gravy. If any is left, it goes into my turkey soup on Friday.

I have only one oven, so I have to bake my fillings on Wednesday night. I slightly underbake them, and then I reheat while the turkey is resting on Thursday. They end up cooked, but not too try. The center is more moist than the outside, so it's a win, win.

I like mine moist on the inside and crispy on the top. Making my own for the first time without the help from a box or bag with the croutons. Sauteed a large diced onion and celery bunch with a stick of butter last week and put in the freezer. Bought a loaf of sour dough bread from Sprouts which I let dry out then cubed in fairly small pieces. Keeping that in the fridge. On Thursday I will add seasonings and chicken bone broth then bake. Hope it turns out well!

very moist is the best to me.

i really like making it into dressing patties when leftover and adding a fried egg to the top.
