is getting in cast aluminum now K49645 . I love that stuff. I got a half aluminum and half cast iron skillet that I lucked out and got at Walmart yrs. ago (haven't seen one in there since) and I love it.

That K49645 they're talking about is way big for me, but, would be great for big cooking folks. Easy to handle, easy to clean, etc.

Hope they bring in more stuff like that.

I got burned by them before, and after I tossed out a bunch of their pans and replaced them with Curtis Stone's stuff, I said never again.

I'd go with Curtis, who makes most of his pans in aluminum with copper for heat distribution. Or if I was restless, I'd explore Ninja's new line of cookware, which is aluminum based. They have a 5-year guarantee on the NeverStick finish and the prices aren't insane. You can try the line with the 8" frying pan, $30 and free S&H, available on Ninja's website. I hope QVC or HSN starts to carry it.

For some cooking, things like stews, I want a heavier weight pot. That's why I'd never let go of my Le Creuset or old tinned Mauviel stuff, even though I don't use them often. As long as I can still heave them around, they stay.

It sure would weigh less than iron. Not liking the nonstick.

Don't think it's fair to brand all Green Pan products as bad.

I have a set of two Green Pan hard-anodized nonstick skillets bought at Costco probably about 5 years ago.

They're still my favorite skillets for cooking eggs or any type of cheesy dish that I want to slide easily out of the pan.

Fast cleanup and very satisfactory in other ways. Have no complaints, other than the fact that they aren't made to work on an induction cooking surface.
