New TSV Keurig Coffee Maker

Did anyone purchase this? Too bad they didn't offer the Keurig Supreme PLUS. To me this seems like an effort to get rid of these. Ok, I like the new design of the water reservoir. However, it just seems that the new 5 hole punch for the K cups really works too fast. I have the Keurig Elite that I bought last year and I love it.

I would have purchased the Supreme Plus if they offered it instead of this model. I love HOT coffee so I need a model that offers temperature change.

I bought it because I wanted a more slim unit, need to move the water reservoir for where I want to put it and don't think that is an option for the Plus. They had it in gray too. I am not as picky with water temperature.

I don't understand the comment about an effort to get rid of these. It's a fairly new model at a really attractive price point. I guess that's why it sold out very, very early.

Also I didn't think the reservoir could go on the right. Only to the left or rear of the unit.

@aunt bea I too like coffee really hot and have always been disappointed with standard coffeemakers, although I love the convenience. People have told me only expensive coffeemakers can get coffee hot because the machine must handle the pressure buildup. I bought the TSV but will keep the box just in case.

QVC does offer the Supreme Plus. It's $189 -- I can already hear the complaints about choosing an expensive Keurig for a TSV. But it's there, available for purchase if anyone is interested.

I researched the Supreme Plus because I was still going to purchase it, but decided against it. The comparison is that the Plus has:

larger water reservoir
temperature option
4oz option (i.e., espresso style)

None of those Plus features matter to me, and I'm the only one making coffee in my home.

I received the TSV today and I love it

No coffeemaker is ever going to make coffee hotter than 212F, the boiling point of water. The only coffeemakers that develop pressure are espresso makers, which have a pressure chamber in order to boil water to take the steam and blow it through the coffee grounds, where it condenses to liquid again as it cools. No normal drip coffeemaker is going to get coffee truly boiling, for that you need to put a cup of coffee into a cup and microwave it, or brew it, then put it in a pan on the stove and boil it. Only a stovetop or electric percolator boils the coffee, because it boils the water, forces the hot water up a tube, over the grounds, and then gravity takes the liquid back down into the pot. Even then, it doesn't stay at boiling for long unless you want to make coffee syrup out of it. The wisdom of drinking a boiling liquid I leave up to the individual, but personally, I don't want blisters inside my mouth.

I ordered the TSV hoping that the five point water stream will dissolve all the cocoa in my favorite mint cocoa k-cups, which my single-stream Keurig does not do. I hate peeling open the plastic cup and swishing it through my cup of cocoa to get all the cocoa powder out of it. If the five-stream approach doesn't work any better than the single stream version I have now, I'll send the new one back, as my old Keurig mini works just fine. Of course, Murphy's Law dictates the minute I do that my old one will die, and I'll have to pay half again as much to replace it. <sigh>

I got mine today as well. My old Keurig broke last Wednesday. The pin broke that pokes the hole. Lucky for me, I knew there was a TSV and as soon as I saw it Thursday morning I ordered it. The French press is nice but what a pain cleaning it.

I am happy with the new one. I keep my coffee on a mug warmer so the temp thing didn't bother me but I don't know how happy I am going to be with the smaller reservoir.

My coffee goes directly into a Yeti and staying hot is not a problem.
