Well, either it was too good to be true or Amazon has order pickers who can’t read. When I stumbled upon the listing, I immediately ordered 3 sets. The next day I ordered 1 more for my daughter. I received delivery today 4 boxes of 10 kcups - a total of 40 and a far cry from what I was expecting. I just got off the phone from talking with customer service. The item is back ordered until the 26th but the agent is shipping replacements when they return to stock. Keeping my fingers crossed that they get it right this time. If they don’t, the agent said I can call to get a refund.

Did your orders arrive in full As expected or like mine?

@JeanLouiseFinch Yes; mine arrived with all 6 boxes of k-cups - as expected. That is so odd....I also receive (in a different shipment) Starbuck k-cups with 2x caffeine (i forgot what they call it). I've never had anything less than perfect delivery--and perfect, fresh product. I'm glad you called; Amazon customer service is great....I'm sure they'll make it right for you.

Amazon pulls this stunt. They did it with me and batteries and never made good. I don't trust them now when it comes to too-good-to-be-true deals with multiples. You are likely to get a single item or package, as you did, getting 40 K-cups instead of the 240 (if my math is right) they represented you'd be getting. Sellers on eBay do this as well. I strongly recommend leaving a bad review unless you get just what they said you would. They've earned it.

@JeanLouiseFinch I ordered the Starbucks peppermint mocha k-cups from BB&B. I'm a member, so I do get a great price break.

For those that aren't members, it is $14.39 for the 22-ct boxes.

Being a BB&B member I was able to get 5 boxes for $11.51 each. I also was able to stock up on a couple of other varieties we enjoy...

A single box of 10 k-cups is 'average' price for Starbucks...anything for about $1 for a single k-cup is an 'average' deal.

If on the other hand you thought that you would receive 6 boxes for $10.60, I would say that I have NEVER seen a deal for Starbucks k-cups that would be just $0.17 per k-cup.

If you look at my previous post in this thread, you will see what I paid for them at BB&B. I gave info on price for non-members, box ct, etc....and I feel I got them at a great price for about $0.52 per k-cup.

It is not only the particular brand/Amazon/vendor/item, there are many places that show an image of 6 boxes and I have read reviews many times when folks think they are getting ripped off and only getting one box instead of 6.

Sometimes it might be the wording by the vendor that may be confusing. Other times folks really aren't paying attention either.

I go by the golden rule I was brought up with...

"If it is something that is too good to be true..."

Lastly, having bought k-cups for many years, I actually would have felt bad trying to get 6 boxes of k-cups for $10.60. The vendor wouldn't be getting anything for their time/effort. Things are tough enough for anyone trying to keep a business going - or keep a job during this difficult time.

@Susan Louise The ad stated a quantity of 6 boxes. I did not order because a lot of third party sellers sell outdated k cups and I suspected it was a bogus quantity.

I would do a live chat. I ordered 6 Paul Newman salad dressings and they were outdated. It said non-returnable but decided to pursue and did get refunded...

@Trinity11 There are a lot of great bargains online/in stores. Some are great deals, some are just too good to be true. When anything is extremely cheap, it just sends up a red flag in my head. On very rare occassions, it's good/legit.

For example, I have been VERY fortunate with QVC 'as is' items. Every single one has been perfect. That is not the case for everyone though...

I also make sure I do my research instead of jumping right in...but that is just me. Yes, vendors have been known to sell expired goods of all kinds. That happens everywhere...even in grocery stores and not just online. I always had to check expiration dates. Since mid-January, I haven't been in a grocery store because of the COVID.

So when we order to have our groceries delivered, we chat with the deliverer/order processer and tell them to make sure to look at expiration dates.

In this particular case, IMHO, as for the vendor who 'may have' tried to sell 6 boxes for $10.60, I still think it would have been because of a wording error and not due to expired dates. Usually deceptive vendors who intentionally try and sell expired goods try to make it worth their while and sell the 6 boxes for more $. Also, again, as I mentioned in a previous post of mine, because $10.60 is an 'average' price for a single box of Starbucks k-cups. Also, another thing I mentioned in a previous post is that there are many folks who misread an offer about 6 boxes of k-cups..thinking they should be getting 6 boxes - 60 Starbucks k-cups for just $10.60. Again, I would feel bad for the vendor not making any money whatsoever.

You are correct, the listing was for 6 boxes of 10 kcups. The listing text also stated 60 kcups total for the listing. Amazon really messed up, both on their listing and the order pickers not being able to read. You can contact customer service and get a refund. They won’t make you return the box you received because it’s a food item.

@JeanLouiseFinch I feel bad for the vendor/Amazon in this case. Being able to get 60 Starbucks k-cups for just $10.60 is so outrageously low. I would have called Amazon or written to the vendor and made them aware of an obvious mistake instead of taking advantage of it.

But, that is just me.
