I love watching 'Cooking with Brenda Gantt' on Facebook...( but it's not tv)....She cooks the southern way..and I'm from the 'old school'. It brings back memories of my childhood.

I watch Ina Garten - I love her - no bells and whistles, just cooking. I also love Chopped. Ted Allen is the best and again, no stupid games, just cooking.

That low carb girl sounds interesting...tks for sharing, I'll check her out! (If I EVER get off my awful 2020 "diet" and get back to healthy!!)

On Food Network...Ina is always good, and I have a few of her cookbooks, or recipes I get off FN.com...she's ALWAYS reliable and delicious. Btw...it's fall, and if anyone wants a great apple crisp...I've made various ones...Ina's is the BEST. However, tons of butter you can cut by 1/2 and it's still delicious.

Also watch Rachael Ray...I know people either love or hate her boisterous personality...but for me, she was the first one I got hooked on many years ago on FN..who really got me cooking. Us both from Italian background...she "spoke my language"...her style and choices in the kitchen reminded me of a lot of what I grew up with.

I have started watching on FB, "Cooking with Brenda Gantt"...she's a "light" in this dreary year...I love her combination of food, family, faith. I can't say I'd eat exactly as she cooks, but if I want to learn something Suutthherrrn, as I often have (fried chicken, biscuits)...being a Yankee girl and Italian, I'd have no clue...so she's teaching me!

Those are my favs for now...but I've watched many. OH! I also love Trisha's Southern Kitchen...one of the best on FN as far as entertaining. I like some, not all, of her recipes..fun show.

I thought of a couple more on cable..

I love when I catch Lydia Bastianich's show on PBS...I never know when it's on, so it's touch and go as I find it.

Also, too early in the morning, but on cable (like 5am!) I've seen "Christina Cooks" (vegan, but just good healthy cooking)..I also follow her now on social media, she posts a lot of good recipes and tips for healthy eating.

And occasionally on cable I see "The Jazzy Vegetarian"...she's kinda goofy, lol...but her cooking is interesting to me.

As you can tell...I do like watching cooking shows.

And if you knew me decades ago...it would have been the last thing I'd care about...I was what I always call a "late blooming cook" and RR on FN really got me going. Now I enjoy the "zen" and creativity of cooking...NEVER thought in a million years I'd ever say that. So...you can teach an old dog new tricks. The End.

I was very little now. If I'm surfing channels and see Ina Garten or Ree Drummond (RD not so much anymore), I'll see what they're making. If it interests me, I'll watch, if not I move on.

I continue to watch my favorite chef, Lidia Bastianich. Her dishes are made of fresh, easy to assemble, wonderful ingredients. She provides me with the motivation to try new recipes and new ways of combining different foods that may just be sitting in my kitchen.

@Patriot3 You took the words right out of my computer! I cannot stand Chris from Milk Street, but did buy the big cookbook he just released because I like the recipes in it.

I just can't watch him for a whole show! I also watch Jacques Pepin any time he is on, but you nailed the list for me!

I also like Emeril because we used to eat a lot at Commander's Palace when he was "cookin' for Ella Brennan" as he says, so I know the man knows food and I know he loves people. He would so often come around and talk to every person--asking them how they liked what they were having and talking about it.

I used to find the Pioneer Woman at least interesting, but her new shows with her kids are difficult to get through and sort of a mess and the food is just thrown together things.

We are watching Top Chef episodes on the Peacock channel. There are many seasons of it, so it will be our go-to for a while.

I watch Trisha Yearwood, Cook's Country, Americas Test Kitchen, Lidia Bastianich and Ina Garten.

Gave up on Ree Drummond and Milk Street.

Last time I watched anyone cook on TV was Julia Child when she was on PBS channel 13 in New York .... around the late 1960s.

I cannot watch any of the shows that are scripted like sitcoms, which rules out pretty much everything on the Food Network, other than "the Kitchen, which I do enjoy.

I record and watch Cook's Country, America's Test Kitchen, Ciao Italia, and occasionally Lidia Bastianich and Nick Stellino. Stephanie Jaworski's "Joy of Baking" is my go-to when I need a baking recipe, but that's on YouTube, and Martha's baking shows record sporadically.. I'm not sure if she's still producing new ones at this point.

I have tremendous respect for Ina Garten and I'd love to see her do a serious cooking show without all the phony baloney socializing.

In my opinion, if they have to make a theme out of the episode, "Grandpa's Birthday", "Sorority Sisters Visit" for example, they're just covering up for lack of serious skills.

I watch mostly Food Network and Tasty on twitter. I'm not on any diet, so I try what I like. Bobby Flay is surprisingly easy to follow. I've tried at least 4 of his recipes from his Brunch show. I like Ina Garton too.
