This is my favorite marinade for beef and pork:

1/2 cup tomato juice

1/2 cup oil

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 cloves of garlic minced

1 tsp. Ground pepper

(mix all and pour over meat)

I sometimes cut the recipe in half when I only have (for example) a couple pork chops to marinate.

I sometimes use a heavy dose of Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder and cracked pepper. I also use Allegro brand marinade quite a bit....it's excellent and available at most grocers. It's the best store bought I've ever used.
