This is a Greek dish that I made today for lunch. Its lovely summer dish we use in Athens. Its very easy and I hope you'll like:

4 pork chops (best if no bones)

1 cauliflower cut in eight pieces

1/2 cup of olive oil

1 onion cut in pieces (large or small)

1 can of tomatoes

1 cup of Maggie/Knorr filled with water

salt & pepper

Crisp the meat in the olive oil (around 4 minutes each side), then add the onion. Wait around 8 minutes until the onion is browned, add the can of tomatoes, seasoned water, salt, pepper and now add the cauliflower. Wait until your casserole boils, cover and turn your cooker on the middle heat. Wait for 40 minutes, shaking the pan during the cook time (do not twirl the food while cooking as the cauliflower will desentigrade.

That's it and Kali Oreksi (bon appetit)

The taste proves other wise at least to me. The hosts go crazy over the product which tells me one of two things: They've never had really good homemade sauce and meatballs or they are pushing the product how they are told to do it by acting as if it is superb. Myself? It tastes like any other frozen meatball and sauce you buy in the frozen food dept.

The gentleman selling this product is a salesman first and foremost and he uses techniques meant to tug at the heart strings. He starts with the supposedly only picture of his grandmother and himself and then he talks about how it is her "recipe" and when I hear the recipe schtick I cringe. WHen I was a kid I asked my grandmother for her sauce and meatball "recipe" and she looked at me and flat told me NO and I was hurt for a few seconds until she explained to me it's more about techique, adaptation, taste, etc.., than an actual recipe. In other words, the list of ingredients could be given but the amounts, specific brands and how you put them together is what matters but those change at times. IDK. Maybe I am just a sauce and meatball snob?

I disagree. We enjoy them, especially the cheese filled meatballs with sauce. Nothing sour or off, just delicious meatballs. Obviously this product is not the same as making them at home from scratch. Why would anyone expect to precisely duplicate this homemade preparation from a frozen mass produced food product? We are very fortunate we can choose the food we want right now. As the supply chain falters due to massive coronavirus outbreaks as seen recently in Green Bay Wisconsin our current food situation may progress to standing in line for basics so be grateful you can complain right now. I just placed another meatball order yesterday.

Mama Mancini's continues to sell their meatballs and presents them on-air. Yet there are many of us who have AD orders (for beef meatballs and the stuffed mozzarella meatballs) on backorder. How can they continue to sell new product when they can't even fill current AD orders?

Last year we had a Mama Mancini AD subscription cancelled after only one shipment. I've heard they recently canceled someones AD for the Mozz. Meatballs. Fingers crossed that the AD for the Beef Meatballs, on backorder, I send to my DM doesn't get canceled. If it does, it would be the second time Mama Mancini has canceled a year long AD subscription after only one shipment.
