We bake lots of bread. We recently started adding 1/4 c of potato flakes for a softer moister roll. We changed nothing else to the recipe. A lot of recipes I saw online used mashed potatoes instead of flakes.

Happy New Year.

feel bad for those who don't bake. I was in the bakery on my b'day back on the 23rd and treated myself to 2 brownies 3.50 !!!!!!!!!!!!

what ? for 2 brownies ? Man, came in and wanted a loaf of bread it was sold out I felt bad for him I could had made his day since bread is my speciality. "bread is the staff of life" you know. LOL

anyway, cookies, 12 bucks a dozen ! What ? Apple, peach and cherry danish I forget how much they were probably 3 bucks a piece at least.

all they had was pineapple, so, just left with my brownies. Told DH I could make my own brownies a whole 13x9 pan full for 2 bucks with box mix or even if I made my own fav recipe from scratch still wouldn't be that high.

Bakery didn't even have any nuts in or on the icing. No wonder people don't have money for bills if they have to have Starbucks coffee and danish or donuts everyday. DH would put stop to that. LOL
