Almost every one of my husband's stoneware coffee cups is crazed, so I just thought it is something that happens over time with stoneware. I have to say, though, that I probably own 15 pieces of TT (some for 5 years) and none of it has cracked or crazed.... YET

Has anyone else had a problem with their temptations cracking or looking cracked on the bottom? I have ordered several times because I think it's beautiful but every set has begun to look like it's cracking. My cookie sheet lid did crack into. They wanted me to send whole set back but I already got rid of box...too much trouble ...very disappointed.

Another shopping channel had an 11 piece baking set today for $29. I swear they must be made in the same factory as TT. They have the iron holders, trivets, the whole bit. The patterns were very similar to TT. I was shocked at the price difference.

I see that on ShopHQ, their line called Cooks Tradition ceramic is all on clearance. My guess is that it is all made in the same factories in China. Their clearance prices are great, it there is a pattern/color you would like. I'm sure it performs the same as the Temp-tations. I would guess that since the whole line is clearanaced, that it is being discontinued.

Temp-tations is known for cracking and crazing of the glazing. It happens in most lines of ceramics overtime, but usually takes many years with other/older lines of stoneware. TT seems to have it happen much sooner than some other lines I have used. Some of it can be prevented by proper care and handling of the stoneware, (especially not letting it get water soaked into the unglazed areas) but is a risk with all stoneware brands.

Yes, I have a set of snowflake mugs, and each one is cracking on the inside. I would say they are definitely NOT microwave safe , as stated. It seems the more I heat up my tea, the more cracks appear.

I have another set, a little tray with 3 small bowls, and the tray has the cracking underneath. And I don't microwave that one.....

I am amazed that QVC continues to sell Temp-tations with all the complaints regarding cracking and other issues.....but as long as customers are willing to spend the money on it I am sure they will keep selling it. If you do buy it, keep all packaging and send it back asap if it cracks; demand a refund, not a replacement.. I would never buy any stoneware made in China now that I have seen the problems with this line.

I have tons of TT and have several that cracked. I've called TT customer service and they are really nice but the last time I called, my piece was DC so they sent something comparable. I'm on my third 9x13 pan. I'm really tired of having to call and ask for a replacement. The operator asked me if I used frozen food in the pan and put it in a pre-heated oven. At that time, I had. She explained to me about putting in the oven then turning it on to heat up so it will gradually come to the temperature. Makes sense but since then, I've had it to crack again and another to crack also. I love the TT sizes and easy clean-up and how it goes right to the table but I hate to continue to waste money. I have continued to use my pan but notice the cracks get worse and I worry about if there might be a mold issue when you put water to it.... frustrating!
