Yes, it is scheduled to be a five-hour show. But since the TSV is an air fryer, you can plan on that taking up at least half the time, and they'll probably do a presentation or two of the QVC2 Big Deal on the Traeger, which could take another half hour (or more). So that really leaves just two hours for everything else—likely only six or seven more items based on the typical time allotted lately. Suuuper exciting.

(Seriously, it makes me sad and frustrated that what used to be a fun and interesting show has been reduced to multiple long presentations of the TSV plus dozens of other gadgets and food items we've seen 400 times. I watch for the content, not the host, so I'm finding myself tuning out more often than tuning in lately. Boo.)

Today I decided to start inside holiday decorating. Figured ITKWM was 4 hours would be good background "noise"...after 3 items & TSV I realized it was all food☹️ & TSV.

So I put my Bose on and enjoyed holiday music...Johnny Mathis, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett & Frank Sinatra helped me get in the holiday decorating mood...didn't get much done but enjoyed the music. (Even took my mind off my 18 month old dryer died this morning😡😡😡- cant wait to see that bill!)

I can only assume tomorrow on ITKWD will be the same a "food frenzy"!!! Considering only a few weeks before Christmas & delivery issues they've got to empty those freezers😉

Traeger $600.00....then add 400 pounds of meat at a time to smoke ( seriously...WATCH the show....who REALLY serves that much meat more than MAYBE once a year? For me, what they smoke in ONE show would last me a YEAR!!!!!)

I live alone. I use a "Charcoal chimney starter" ( about 15.00). When the coals get hot, I balance a grill on top of the smoker and make my steak. Takes less than 10 minutes to cook.

Gadgets needed: Charcoal chimney, regular charcoal briquests(NOT the vile lighter fluid soaked kind instant start)..., a few sheets of newspapers, a match, a 9 or 11" round grill surface (like what's on a Weber grill). A 12' x12" flat paver stone if you cant find a flat stone to use ( l live in a rural wooded area).

SO EASY!!! When you're done, tip out the used up charcoal dust into the garden, or just let it go out and fall out of the chimney onto the ground.

I set this contraption on a flat stone when I light it and use it. Hot and ready to grill in about 15 minutes.

Total cost...MAYBE 30.00. You can add wet wood chips on top of the charcoal if you want wood flavor.

What do I grill? THe BEST cut of steak I can buy...because I didn't spend 600.00 on a contraption, and 1000.00 on the other 300 pounds of meat!!!!

ANd no electric needed either!!!!

This works SO WELL that I will not replace my gas grill, which is old, because the flavor is just not there. And, if the charcoal chimney deteriorates from using it like this, ( They recommend NOT cooking on top of it...because the same company sells grills maybe???), you can buy another one for about 15.00 which will last the season!!

I am SO done with gimmicks!!!!! And there's something really satisfying preparing food like this, outdoors, with the primitive smell of roasting meat on the breeze.....

But, for my family, we absolutely love it and it gets a ton of use. I can also say we've never spent $1G on 300 lbs of meat, (they're demoing it for people so they show lots of options to the viewers thats why all the meat - surely you know this) nor do I know anyone who has that has one. It's not just a smoker. There's nothing gimmicky about the Traeger. It's not fair to make the comments about something thats not right for YOU, but is for others.

DH got the Traeger this spring. You don't have to do 300# of meat.

We've done a single duck, & chicken, 1 slab of ribs. He did a 13# turkey this Thanksgiving.

When we do a lot we use the Food Saver and stock up the freezers.

Computers? I'm typing on a QVC Dell. Ladders, I think I bought my Little Giant from QVC a million years ago. And frankly, I like it that David is presenting the other end of the personal food chain in showing potties. What goes in, etc.

Aw, just got the tone for an Amber Alert in a neighboring county, reminding me that there are far worse things than the product picks for a five-hour product marathon on a shopping channel.
