Which Travel Mug?

Love myYeti, but it is not totally leakproof. Can someone please recommend a travel mug that keeps hot beverages hot for hours & is leakproof? Thanks.

I have yet to find the one I want either because the problem is I hate stainless steel it always adds a taste to the hot liquid.

Back in the old days glass thermos was common. I have a glass thermos carafe that I use at home to put coffee in once it is made and it will keep coffee hot for hours and hours. Not so for the stainless steel one I have. Even when I fill it with boiling water while I am waiting for the coffee to be made it’s still does not keep it as hard as my glass one does.

Last year I bought the Primula travel mugs from QVC. One went to my future SIL. My daughter informed me recently that he calls it "Best Christmas Gift Ever"...and they both try to get to it first in the morning. So they are getting a second one this Christmas.

@CindyDale : I was going to suggest the Yeti. As long as you keep it in an upright position there shouldn't be any spillage. Btw, we also swear by Yeti ice (we keep our Costco mochi and Haagen Das frozen for the four hour trip home).

I love my new tervis. They come in Aluminum now and seem to do a fine job, They lid seems to work out fine too.

@CindyDale Have you tried ORCA Coolers brand? I commute via bus daily to work so my coffee or tea goes with me. I have both Yeti & ORCA and my ORCA brand is leak proof, at least for me. There are two kind of lids...the lid that has the fan tail is what I have. Hope this helps.

My brother swears by the Primula Peak tumbler I gave him last year. He uses it all the time, takes it to meetings and traveling. He can knock it over and if the lid is sealed, not a drop leaks. I'll be buying another four since they're offering them again here so I can give him a spare and have some for gifts.

I love the Primula & they are an upcoming TSV. They don’t leak & keep your drinks hot or cold for hours. You do have to make sure you screw the cap on correctly- I did have it leak in my tote bag but it was because the cap wasn’t on properly. I gave them as gifts & everyone raved about them.

Try Takeya brand. I don't use mine for hot drinks because I don't drink them but I use them for iced water all year round. They are one of the few that have an opening large enough to fit ice cubes with a top for drinking plus totally leakproof. My iced water lasts over 24 hours. They have a travel mug for $28.

YES!! Finally solved the leaking (and keeping drinks hot & cold) problem when I got my Contigo. They make many bottles and keep coming out with new models, but mine is the autoseal west loop model. It comes in a few sizes also.
