What Is Best Tasting Black Tea

I always loved Red Rose tea but lately I haven't been enjoying it as much. I then tried lipton tea and just don't like this one. What are your favorite teas.

I like Twinings Afternoon Tea. Its a little stronger than their Breakfast tea which is good also.

If you are talking store bought, and just plain black tea, this is a tough question! I hardly ever get store bought any more. (I am very partial to Harney & Sons.) I never cared for Lipton (but I like Lipton's flavored greens.)

Forget Salada! And Red Rose. I used to get that all the time, but perhaps they did alter their blend, or met with some natural "disaster" in recent tea production. ?

What I have found, however, is that "generic" store brands seem to be the best as far as a mellow cup of black tea. The last black store brand I got was Wegman's. (For making plain old iced tea for a party.) Since they all wanted it sweetened, I only sipped a little to adjust the sugar. And it was fine!

Sometimes I make the Wegman's in order to add lots of lemon & honey.

Acme used to have a nice store brand, too. But, um, Acme went by way of the Road Runner!

Just make sure you do not over steep. You can do that with Harney. I never get bitter tea from them, even if I get too busy and neglect to take out the tea leaves.

Since I discovered Harney & Sons, I can't drink any other brand. For black tea, their Irish Breakfast and English Breakfast are delicious.

i like twinings.....earl grey, english breakfast, lady grey, and darjeeling.......loose or in tea bags.

twinings has a variety pack of black teas that you may want to look for. that way you get to try several at once and you can then go and purchase your favorites.

My mom was English and she always loved Red Rose tea, my dad thinks it's too floral and he enjoys Lipton. I have always liked Twinings Orange Pekoe for a morning tea, and I love their Four Red Fruits tea in the afternoon. I think Twinings makes some really great tea. Tazo has some wonderful flavors as well.

Interesting.

I just a big box of Red Rose tea and thought, this isn't like I remember it. So bought a small box of Lipton tea. Really wasn't pleased with it either. Thought it was me and my taster.

I always liked Tetley. Their British Blend is good--stronger than the original.

I drink Twinings or Tazo. Irish Breakfast is my personal favorite, but I like English Breakfast, too. Haven't tried Harney & Sons, but it looks good. I may order some next time I'm in need just to try it out.

British Typhoo Tea is my first choice. I buy them at Wegman's but they are $6.99. Occasionally I have seen them at The Christmas Tree Store for less than half that. When I see them I stock up with at least 6 boxes,lol.

I buy China Black Tea Orange Pekoe Certified Organic from Frontier Natural Products Co-0p. It is so good. I buy a big 16 oz bag tea, it only takes 1/4 of a cup to make a gallon of tea. I have a really nice tea filter from Teeli.
